Are farts considered floating poop particles?

The difference between a fart and a shart is only in the brown eye of the beholder

Or just copy and paste the three words of relevant text into the e-mail as opposed to sending a 4MB screenshot attachment.

Luckily by 12:10 I had gotten my lunch, heated, and was eating at my desk when our lactating co-worker deciding to perform her maternal duties. I have been watching the train of disheartened co-workers come by in the mean time.....

can't she just get a blanket and pump at her desk/cube/office?

She should just do it in the waiting room with a tip jar beside her.

How has it been going on this long and no one has said anything? Or at the very least gotten up for lunch at 11:50 and not noon?

I'm starting to think this is less about her trying to inconvenience people and more an experiment to see how passive aggressive people can get.

Well today it started at 12:10. My previously rant the door was locked at some point prior to arriving at 12:00. So the timing isn't consistent....

My coworker has a 2 pack a day habit. Of chewing gum. Constantly chewing, usually with an open mouth. Constantly mumbling while talking due to simultaneous chewing. It doesn't seem to bother anyone else. Am I a jerk for being bothered by this?

My coworker won't stop talking. I have to sneak by his office so that he doesn't see me. And if I get caught, he'll talk incessantly. Even when I walk away, he gets up and follows me to my office and sits down to keep talking. Even when I am clearly no longer listening to him (right now, I am typing this and not looking at him at all), he continues to talk. And it's always the same story multiple times over.

I had a boss that used to do that shit, he was a "creative" type, but really just couldn't think with the left side of his brain. It was like trying to hold a conversation with a 10 year old with ADD.

I would ask a simple question, then he'd start in about ideas he had for a project I was working on, then 4 sentences in start talking about how great his new heart rate monitor and watch was, then how he ran 10 miles on Friday, then how the girl he hung out with Saturday night didn't think the bar they went to was gay-friendly enough, then talk about a poem he wrote, but before he could tell me what it was about he started trailing off into a discussion on the NY Jets and was pulled into a conversation with the guy 3 cubes down who wanted to talk about the Broncos.

And I would still never get a response on whether he could give me a 200 word write-up on a previous finished project.

Real email conversation with a coworker:

Coworker: Can you send me the header for the email?
Note: email has already been done, and exists online on an email marketing platform

Me: You can always just pull the image off [email marketing platform]'s website!

Coworker: I’ve tried that – it’s not intuitive and I couldn’t figure it out. It was faster to just ask you…

Me: It would work just like how you save any image off the web…

Coworker: I know sometimes it doesn’t save things in the right format if you do that.

WTF??

There's lots of passive-aggression going on ITT. People have a problem with their co-workers, tell them about it.

^^ There was a version of internet explorer that saved images as bitmaps by default. I don't know if it was a bug or by design, but that was a long long time ago (like IE5 or possibly older).

I'm on a conference call, it gets quiet, and all I can hear is our ops manager's heavy breathing. He has to know he's doing it...

New mom sounds like a completely inconsiderate bitch. HUR sounds like a whiny bitch for not talking to his coworker or to HR though, so it's kind of a wash.

I really hate people who are unable to say "I don't know" or "I'm not sure, I will need to check"

When someone asks a specific question, its a waste of time to just start talking about things that you do know that have nothing or very little to do with the problem. It drives me insane, just say that you aren't sure or don't know and stop wasting my time. It's okay to not know, its not okay to just start talking about random shit so we can all get off topic and forget what we are trying to answer.

^ I hate that too. I know my limits and so I don't like overstepping. I hate it bc my boss pressures everyone to act like they know everything all the time and thinks saying that you don't know is weak. I always tell her I will get the answer, but she seems to think I should at least be taking "a stab at it" which is pointless. We can all take a reasoned "stab at it" but when it comes down to it, if I don't know the shit I don't like pretending I can just muddle my way through it

I say this all the time, but that's b/c I get asked the most inane shit you can think of, and rather than pull something out of my ass I feel better saying I'll find out.

Me dealing with one of the call center people

Her: "Customer X is having trouble with the printouts"
Me: "What's is wrong with the printouts?"

Her: "Well what they did was they changed System A to System B...."
Me: "What's is wrong with the printouts?"

Her: "They think the problem is with this file....."
Me: "What's is wrong with the printouts?"

Her: "Well they replaced file A with file B and they didn't see any difference..."
Me: "What's is wrong with the printouts?"

Her: "I'm not sure if they tried to do X?"
Me: "What's is wrong with the printouts?"

I literally asked the same question 5 times before getting to the actual problem that it was printing in the wrong size which instantly told me what was the cause.

in at 7:05, by 7:20 I've experienced the following:

- purchasing agent cussing because our cleaning crew (outside contract) threw away the cardboard boxes he keeps stacked in his office.

- coworker doing his daily morning report to me which consists of him cussing and bitching about his fiancé (of 8yrs, they're in their 50s) and what she's always doing that is either wrong or annoys him.

yup, it's a Monday.

My students are like that with their questions; a question about a sentence in an essay involves a long narrative about what they want to do with the essay, how they chose it, the format of the paper, what they had to do that weekend, how it was a rush job, how they didn't have the best grammar teachers, how I haven't spent enough time with a particular point of punctuation, how they didn't pay attention when we did notes on punctuation, how they don't think that punctuation is important, how "isn't punctuation a silly word?" All to end with, "Does a comma go here?" Repeat ad nauseum with me constantly asking, "But what is your question?"

What presently annoys me the most is that most of the clothes in my suitcase smell like fucking garlic parmesan croutons.

Garlic parmesan croutons mixed with rusty, greasy steel and carborundum.

+1

I'm tired of the word verbiage period, especially since it is used incorrectly (and mispronounced) the majority of the times I hear it.
