damn

that's still 400 bucks a square foot, makes my uptown area house worth 880000 if you do it that way

i still say buying on the outskirts of downtown is more bang for the buck, i got in at 160/sf and most likely it will be worth 200/sf in 3-4 years.

You can still get a really nice house in Southend for 120,000... That area just keeps getting nicer and nicer, where-as downtown parking keeps getting crappier and crappier- and the ballpark, oh man, just going to make it worse. Trademark looks like it will be very nice, but I would almost be more prone to saving money and just going with the pink building.

this is that ultra ULTRA deluxe condo building

Buyers of the 2,000- to 8,000-square-foot condos in this Next Big Thing will enjoy a truly pampered lifestyle, attended by a personal assistant, concierge, doorman and 24-hour parking valet.

I will have one open from August until October... One bedroom, one bath apartment, free water, right near Birkdale for $600 a month, then the person can decide with the landlord whether they want to lease with her at the end of October or not... She charges $40 bucks more than I do....

You look out your window and are right across the street from the Galway Hooker Irish Pub...

^^ A passenger train will soon run from uptown all the way south to Pineville along South blvd. most of the way. Think subway but aboveground.

I think it'll be awesome.

ill be glad when the surrounding uptown areas can get most of the poverty and section 8 out - all it takes is money, and its happening fast...

depends - i mean dilworth and to some degree elizabeth have eliminated all of the poverty - and look at the high property values there. yes, most towns have surrounding poverty, due to white flight over the years, but long commutes have driven the demand for these areas up again, thus the white revival.

sounds harsh and racist, but it's indisputable

cherry (south of down town) is still poor. But, it was the neighborhood built for the help of the homes in Myers Park.

Who else is waiting for the south blvd rail? I think this pre-tram Mexican district is going to be white-bejewelled real soon if gas stays high.

I know I'll ride it some but not a lot.

Be cool to hop onto it to run uptown for drinking and stuff.

The reason I won't ride it a lot is that it's currently not too hard to drive to 7th St. Station and just park for free/cheap.

my old company had plans for both luxury condos and apartments on some land off the coming 485 at the intersection of alexanderana/mt holly-huntersville rd. and northlake centre parkway

they were starting to put the sanitary sewer in place when i left

but i wouldn't hold my breath for that development, with their track record

I want to get a wee bit closer to exit 18, but not too far from Lake Norman and not too close to University... there really is not much to be offered once you pass exit 23 on I-77. Austin Woods- does anyone know anything about those apartments, looks like they might run for about $1100 for a to bedroom.. sheesh. What ever happened to 2 bedroom apartments for $850-950.

What the fuck was going on at the coloseum (sp? doesn't look right) last night. I didn't realize a cop was directing traffic. I had a green light and went. All of a sudden the bitch jumped out from behind a truck and blew her whistle. Dumb bitch cop--how the fuck was I supposed to know you were in control?

I'm sorry, the bobcats arena.

The colosium is still there...it's kind of creepy looking, now.

Yea, that bitch was all like "hey, I'm here, respect my badge."

I was all "opps, sorry bitch, didn't see ya. " I proceeded to stop and she didn't come to my car, so I slowly drove off, looking in my mirror.
