wife got free tix from work to go to six flags tomorrow so we're going - haven't been in ~20 years - recommended rides to hit first before the crowds get there and we leave because it takes too long to ride a ride - is the water park in there any good?

1.what part of town is that in?
2. what sort of food do you like?

I always take people to R. Thomas if they've never been. They pretty have something for everyone, all natural/organic food, a lot of vegetables you may or may not have ever heard of. It is reasonably priced too. but not a business dinner type of joint so. . .

i love r thomas. for some reason i really like their free range chicken wings. that's not all i get there, but the wings always have a lot of meat on them.

my favorite restaurant in the whole city is little bangkok, a thai place on cheshire bridge road @ lavista/lindbergh. their tom ka soup is phenomenal

All this talk of restaurants, any of y'all still go out and get twisted regularly? Unfortunately I do. I'm a bit of a boozaholic. Anyhow, the other day I was trying to put together a list of my favorite night spots in Atlanta for a friend. Would love more input, 'cause I know I'm missing some good places:

Highlands/Ponce: Neighbors, Moes and Joes, Noche, Hand in Hand, Righteous Room, El Bar, MJQ (Friday nights are hip hop night), Clermont (Saturdays for Romeo Cologne)
Inman Park: The Albert, P'Cheen
East Atlanta: Graveyard, Eastside Lounge (Friday nights are niiiice), The Earl
Little 5 Points: Star Bar
Midtown: Twisted Taco, Front Page News, Door 44, Tap, The W, Leopard Lounge on Thursdays
Decatur: Brick Store
Buckhead: Fado's, East Andrews
Downtown/Westside: Stats, 6 Feet Under

Any good places I'm missing?

^^^ I get drunk all the time... if i didnt I would actually have to talk to my friends

add these:

Buckhead
-The Hole In The Wall (exactly what it sounds like, no cover, cheap as shit, whores everywhere) - I'm there once a week (good friends bartend there).
-Kramer's (never been, but hes a Tennessee graduate and gives free beer if you went to UT, so I am going there Thursday haha)
-Tongue and Groove just reopened at Lindbergh, havent been yet
-Mako's is supposed to be reopening this fall, that place was stunning. I have never felt dirtier or nastier than I had when I went there, you go to strip clubs to clean up... it was AWESOME

^ mmmm, perfect summer beer

twains in decatur is cool.
i never go out in buckhead any more but here's a couple i used to go to. i don't know if they still exist or not:
mcduff's
red door
atlanta billiards (i think that's the name, its some ghetto looking pool hall)
moon dogs. (personally not a fan, but it seems popular with the college age crowd).

yacht club in L5P is cool.
I'd add the sweetwater happy hour to that list. not that you can get drunk, but its 3 beers for $6.00 and its a pretty chill crowd.

btw, 420 >>> anything else

So I am thinking about relocating from SAV to ATL as I have to connect through there atleast 5 times a month and the company I work for doesnt care where I live. There is nothing left to do here in Savannah but drink way to much.

I know ATL is a massive city and there is a lot to do(or so I assume). How is the quality of life? I know Buckhead is pretty much being rebuilt. What other areas of the city are good to live in?

you need to post more details - especially since ATL is so large - it depends on if you want to live in the city or suburbs - it sounds like you need pretty easy access to the airport? - buy or rent and if so what is your range?

and Buckhead is about a year away from being completely rebuilt but bits and pieces are coming in already, great time to buy low here
