This team showed a lot of heart all year. At 2-10 after sustaining some close losses and some blowouts where we got outmatched they could have easily rolled over and not taken advantage of a late favorable schedule.

CJ williams played great over the last four regular season games. He's a big x-factor for us next year.

Horner as much as I've criticized him really stepped us play and started scoring down low and grabbing rebounds.

Even Mays knocked down a few shots for us the last couple of games.


It's easy to say "5-11 that sucks" but it's really impressive considering we've been 5-11 or worse the last four seasons and this was by far our least talented team in coincidentally the ACC's toughest season.

I hope we make a spirited ACC-t run, but I can't be upset with our season if it ends Thursday. Would be great for this bunch to get into the NIT and keep the momentum going though and get some more experience for next year's NCAA bound squad.

We lost twice to UNC. I usually would expect 2 losses to UNC but not with this year's UNC team. The 1st game Ed Davis wasn't 100% and he wasn't even there for the 2nd game.

I would have been fine with 5-11 if we had beat UNC at least once. I know we are bad but so is UNC.

I do like how CJ has put up some solid numbers over the last 4 games. He had a similar ending to last season too.

Our conference record was marginally better last year, but a strong argument could be made that we had a better season this year since we beat 3 ranked teams including Duke, whereas last year our only notable victory was over Wake.

We hired a guy, sid, who has never demonstrated himself to be an overly great coach (at any level). I actually like the guy. He tries hard and he loves nc state. I'm sure he is just as frustrated. What else do you want from him? It's not as if he was a stud somewhere else and we got screwed. I say keep him until we have a competent AD. At least he is one of us.

When did I say Sid should be fired this year? You are projecting your issues with other posters onto me. I think finishing in the bottom 1/4 of the conference 4 straight years is unacceptable, but that is in no way unreasonable.

So you don't acknowledge that we finished with the same conference record? Conference record doesn't mean as much as it used to in evaluating a teams performance. There are huge discrepancies between teams conference schedules. For example, Imagine if we had played BC and Miami twice? Hell if you look at our overall record it puts us at 9th in the league as well so all in all I think it is pretty fair to acknowledge being tied for 9th in the ACC.
