anyone with an iota of fucking sense knows the game isnt designed around PvP.

Or is that why the biggest event yet in the game is designed around the exact opposite of PvP

Or is that why all the best gear is found in dungeons, not doing PvP

Or is that why they are still hacking PvP in and still dont have it quite right yet.

The game is designed around level grinding and dungeon hopping to gear up. Its somewhat designed so you can do this with friends, or solo to a certain extent.

PvP is the OBVIOUS second fiddle and they are just now getting it in the game.

If you dont like it, go play something else.

The game and storyline are actually not really about a war between horde and alliance at this point which is why I find it very suprising that AQ loot is very heavily geared towards PVP.

What I hope is that the PvP system gets revamped to encourage more outdoor pvp that makes sense. Not worthless BG's which ultimately have no effect on the game environment.

does anyone know of an addon that parses EQDKP for ingame display of points and stuff?

I want to be able to do

/dkp Grandmaster and get my points
or

/dkp rogue and get get the pointstandings of all the rogues in the raid.

I've tried DKPSystem...lua errors...Getdkp....sql errors/not compatable with eqdkp1.3
nightwatchers...no luck...and NDKP would be fine if it worked with EQDKP but i think you have to repace EQ with NDKP ?

any comments/suggestions?

I think the point he is trying to make is that Dicks don't make it very far on a PvP realm because you NEED help to level, as oppossed to not needing it on a normal server. So much for stereotypes.

Priest tips:

Go Shadow/Disc from 1-60 for grinding. It will be rough until 40 when you get shadowform and then you will have it easy from there on. If you need a talent build I think I posted one like 40 pages back so you could dig around for that.

If you want to do serious PVE at 60 respec to disc/holy. I am a healbot so the most useful advice I can give is healbot tips:

Bind a key to assist and learn to heal 5 mans by assisting the Main Assist's target. This will separate you from an OK healer to an awesome healer. When you get to 60 you will have CT RaidAssist which will make this task easier. You will notice the top priests manually assisting still out of habit however.

Shield usage: shield a mage/warlock before they are going to AoE. This is really the only valid use for shield. You can preshield tanks but this is only really needed for learning new encounters at 60 so you won't have to worry about that for awhile.

Heal usage: your first task in joining a group is to figure out how good your tank is. If it is a good tank you can heal everyone but the main tank with Renew/Greater Heal. Your most used heal always will be flash heal however simply because of the way Blizzard is doing burst damage.

Being an OK priest is not hard, just mash one button. If you actually want to set yourself apart and try then the class can be more interesting and fun imo.

Hit rank 8 on my priest. Not really sure what I'm going for, other than exalted w/AV, WSG, and AB. If I hit anything higher than rank 11 in going for that I guess I'll go for warlord.

For priest advice, have fun melting faces in till you hit 60 and respec. I rolled a warlock b/c I missed being a shadow priest so much. Remember that greater heal and fade are your friends.

yea im at rank 11 right now. im putting in way too many hours than i should and its already starting to slow down. should be exalted in ab and wsg soon and have been exalted in av forever. (got it in a few days).

unfortunately im gear short compared to the other rank 11-14 warriors, mainly in weapons. But hopefully thatll change with the new guild i got into recently as well as hitting the 12 and 13 range.

I got TUF for my 60 Shaman (Enhancement speced) last night and took it on a Strat UD run today. I got mind controlled at one of the bosses...ran to one of our mages....hit him for 3200 with on windfury swing.....I crit 1000+ on each swing. Needless to say he died.

People always ask why Im not healing, like in MC, then I show them the Dmg Meter. For example last MC run was:

1. Rogue
2. Rogue
3. Me
4. Rogue
5. Rogue

Im shooting for around 30% chance to crit with my totem down, Im up to 25%ish right now and still have a few more crit pieces to get. Im on Kael'Thas Horde btw.

Just got Perdition's and NS chest tonight. Now have 120 energy with talent and set bonus. And I'm also like -300 dkp (Perdition's was 200 dkp). Now I just need a CHT and I'll be done with MC.

I hate being the only pure healing class

I think it would make it more interesting if just like when you did damage crits, and the huge numbers pop up, that healing crits would do the same. It would make it much more "exciting" to heal... cause... damn. It is boring in any instance.

^^ I have actually seen a goodly number of priests in respectable raiding guilds still shadow specced and they didn't appear to be BG build and they had Benediction (which seems to be a priest staple). Now I know a raid needs pure Holys but it may be worth trying out. And this is even on our Carebear server.
