cock sandwich, nice insult. Going to start using it. Hard to take you lot seriously with BS comments like this:
Quote : | "you resoundingly deserved to draw that game. " |
Yup three subs made in 45 min meant half the first team outfield was out or playing hurt (Matic, Lingard, Herrera, Martial, and Rashford). We had two young academy players in midfield and Liverpool had one shot on target and didn't even come close to goal while United came close to scoring on at least two occasions. Resounding indeed, resoundingly embarrassing for the supposed 2nd best team in England going up against a shambles of a team that was 11 points off fourth wouldn't you say?
Quote : | "this isn't an excuse for Liverpool being shitty but the injuries affected how Liverpool could approach the game as well since Lukaku and a hurt Rashford were never going to stretch the game. No way United can defend like they did with the OGS attacking style of a full strength lineup." |
This is the kind of shit you lot would jump on Mourinho for. Unluckeee for Liverpool that half of United's outfielders got hurt and couldn't take advantage. Was it the length of the grass or the wind that made it so?

I feel like a Liverpool fan fucked Wazza's boyfriend/girlfriend back in the day and he's never been able to get over it.
Liverpool didn't play well enough to win against ManU. Plain and simple. Injuries aren't the reason. We should have beaten you and we didn't. Liverpool is underperforming as of late and when it counts. I don't know why but it doesn't change the fact that it is occurring. Maybe we aren't the 1st or 2nd best team. Time will tell. If they don't win the big games, they don't deserve to win the league. Now kindly shut the fuck up about this tired bullshit argument about how Man U has all of England against them. It's fucking sad.

^^ Cmon dude. Saying United deserved to win that game seriously undermines your credibility as a football watcher. If SAF, Martin Tyler, or anybody whose footballing opinion I respect came out and claimed that United deserved to win that game, I'd be amazed. 2/27/2019 1:40:55 PM |

Please point out where I said England was against us? I am clearly responding to comments from this thread. And yes under Mou and under SAF England was against us, much like most of Germany is against Bayern and much of the US is against the Pats. Ole's demeanor has changed that for now but if we win things I am sure it will go back to that.

Just goes to show how biased this group is. Just can't handle me calling you out repeatedly, despite the blatant disrespect for United. Again I have clearly said we were just about the better team and if we had our full 11 we would have easily won this game. Hypothetical sure but Liverpool didn't threaten at all, not even one half chance. As mentioned earlier in this thread but with different context: We should have beaten you and we didn't, plain and simple. Must hurt when you are lapping up comments from Klopp saying that United's injuries were the reason Pool dropped points when the blame should be on Klopp for being way too conservative. As I said if it was Mourinho the narrative would be completely different.
Regardless I am done with this argument. Its extremely hilarious that pool fans can't handle being called out though.

False. Just in the first few minutes, de gea had handle a back pass. Also a free kick on the edge of the box. Also Matips open header. They wasted the chances with poor execution, not United D.
United really had no meaty chances either.2/27/2019 2:01:16 PM |

"If we had our best players available, we would have won" is a far cry from "We deserved to win" (at least in my book). If you want to speculate that you would have won without the injuries, fine, but Man U's performance in no way merited more than a point. 2/27/2019 2:04:38 PM |

Back on topic.
Thoughts on Watford? They are red hot. Some big implications for the title and top 4 after today's matches with the London derby as well.
I do think Ole likely loses his first PL match today though. Palace is red hot and with the injuries I can't see it. Sanchez and Lukaku both would have to step up big to win today. Hoping for a Spurs win but really we need to keep pace and then beat both Chelsea and Arsenal to get top 4.
The title and top 4 seems to be headed to the final two weeks if now matchday 38. 2/27/2019 2:14:51 PM |

Had a Pool fan friend say earlier today he felt like this would be the start of the fall back to reality. I could definitely see that happening, but it doesn't seem like at home vs Watford is the most likely starting point.
I'll take United over Palace. Their lineup looks pretty solid to be supposedly missing 10 guys. 2/27/2019 2:21:58 PM |

IDK Fred and Sanchez have massively under performed and really don't fit the style. The right side is weak as well but I am glad to see the tactical change of pushing Young up and playing Dalot at RB. I think its a good move rather than thrusting Chong in there like I wanted. I do think it was a bit harsh on Periera after his Liverpool performance to not get the nod but lets see what Fred brings in Herrera's absence. Defense is solid but we need goals and outside of Pogba I don't see where we will get them in the final third today. 2/27/2019 2:54:06 PM |

To United's credit, i think I've said a few times in this thread how good your roster is. Some of it was to shit on Jose and make fun of you for knocking Pogba and Martial, but it's till true! United have a ton of talent. A little weak on the back line maybe, but their full roster should in theory be able to compete with anyone.
Part of why it's hard to judge Ole. Any manager that just removed the roadblocks would have seen an improvement. Have to see if that can carry over to winning against top teams.
Also 1) welcome back TAA 2) THAT MANE BACKHEEL LOL

I agree with your points that there is talent. This is the reason I said we should challenge for the title at the beginning of the season however to beat the top teams you still need quality at some positions we are incredibly weak in besides the defensive line. For example the right side is not good enough for the top and we lack quality depth because players like Sanchez are underperforming. Matic has picked up his level of play but we also need some mid field depth. Was hoping that would be Fred but he simply hasn't been so far.
I am pretty confident in Ole' abilities though. Yes you see an uptick but Ole just made PL history in the amount of points he has racked up. He has the chops, its time for the club to back him and also appoint a DOF. The Liverpool performance has convinced me he is up for the task not in the level of performance but in the commitment and desire the players showed. Ole has been tested now (7 away wins on the trot, Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and Pool matches) and he has failed only once against PSG. We have been better or equal against every opponent since he took over. "Any" manager can't expect results like that with United. Mou isn't stupid just timid and wasn't the right fit but Ole has exceeded expectations.
Brilliant finish by Mane.2/27/2019 3:47:35 PM |

The quality wasn't there, as the announcers kept saying. I agree we didn't look like a team that deserves to win the league. In our toothlessness and lack of confidence we looked a bit like Arsenal in the last years of Wenger.
I question Klopp too. I suppose Firmino wasn't fit to start, but Origi doesn't have the dynamic quality of our main three. I question the exclusion of Shaqiri, I'd have started him. 3/3/2019 1:24:39 PM |

Honestly a derby away tie isn't awful on its own. West Ham and Leicester were worse results. Bright side is that all remaining tough games are at home where they've only dropped 4 points all season and City, who have lost a number of times away still have to go to United. Not giving up on the title yet. 3/4/2019 4:30:29 AM |

Looking ahead to the weekend though, spicy set of fixtures for top 6. I expect pool to win at home against Burnley and respond to the Everton match but its not easy. However looking at Wolves and Watford they are tough matches for Chelsea and City respectively. Liverpool's distraction is the CL but City are cruising there so I expect them to show up against Watford but you never know. Then of course all of these culminating in Arsenal v United. Getting three points at the Emirates would put some spitting distance between us at least and we can start looking ahead but no easy fixtures left for us with Watford, Wolves, West Ham and Everton yet to come. Top 4 is going to be an interesting 4 horse race if Tottenham continue their form. 3/6/2019 9:17:37 AM |

So Torreira has 3 match ban that will benefit ManU. Chelsea thankfully get 2 matches at the Bridge but Wolves could be difficult as nothing has come easy for Saari's squad and he insists on play Jorginho every match, so fatigue could be a factor. I see positions 3-6 being very interesting since 5 points is all that separates them and Chelsea have an extra match so theoretically it could be 4 points from 3rd to 6th. 3/6/2019 2:21:05 PM |

Ole is at the wheel! Still buzzing. I don't care about xG and these stats. United has always been about the intangibles. People always thought we were lucky under Sir Alex but you create your own luck and United has always had belief. It got eroded the last 6 years but now its back and my god I love it. Ole is Azor Ahai confirmed.
If Pool go through Bayern its pretty much guaranteed UEFA is going to pit two English clubs against each other. I want another marquee matchup and have no expectations for Europe but I don't want Porto or Ajax, I want a big name!
I enjoyed the fuck out of Neymar on the touchline and his disgrace rant. The real disgrace was that Kimbembe played 180 minutes of football when he really should have lasted only thirty. The VAR call was justice served.

PSG have become the choke artists of Europe. Spending all that money to get knocked out in the round of 16 almost every season. Tactically they were awful last night and Buffon proved that he should have retired last year he is not an elite GK anymore. Completely bottled that 2nd United goal. 3/7/2019 2:08:05 PM |

I do think they let the pressure of the situation get to them but I thought they had a good match. They really should have scored 2 goals in the first 30 min. After that we brought on Dalot for Bailly and that made all the difference for us. The game opened up a bit more and we committed forward. Mbappe also should have buried his chance at the end but DDG was aware. Took a team effort to pull that one off. I was impressed by Lukaku, was sharp as a knife yesterday.
Hoping it doesn't distract us from Arsenal. Season still hanging in the balance for us but now we have two cups to play for and should go for it but also not lose sight of top 4. Expectations building up now I think and hopefully these injured players are back soon. 3/7/2019 2:42:49 PM |

Top 4 battle looks spicy. Arsenal/United game is obviously huge for both teams. A point would definitely be solid for United and I'm thinking even for Arsenal too even if its at home. Gets them within 3 of Spurs and their remaining fixtures are a lot easier than Spurs who still have to go to Anfield and City. And don't forget Chelsea who have the game in hand after this weekend still. If they win today, we'd have 4 teams within 4 points at minimum, if Arsenal wins, 4 teams within 2 of each other. Pretty crazy.
My predictions are United for 3rd and Spurs 4th. Hopefully both beat City too 3/10/2019 7:01:47 AM |
