I've never really played a non-caster class.

Shit is crazy, yo. I can, like, do stuff, even when people are attacking me. Not that it's actually damaging me anyway.

So as a warrior, where should my first talent points go?

If you have a guild, chances are that they already have prot. specc warriors. There's really no need for more than 2 prot. spec warriors per raid group. Prot. specc isnt necessary for Scholo, Strat., etc...

there is no NEED to go prot spec before 60 anyways, unless that is your playstyle to be a tank, which is very understandable. most ppl say fury to level to 60 but i stuck arms the whole time

without the trinkets, and ONLY pvp, go with an elemental build
meaning: only put points in your fire and frost trees.
arcane is great for regaining mana in pve (i.e. evocation, clearcast, etc)
for pvp you dont get to live long enough to drain your mana pool then evocate back to full, its better to just die, rez, and get a full bar that way.

that allows you to get your 2.5s frostbolt and 3s fireball
i BELIEVE the typical elemental build is something like 28 frost/23 fire

it is pretty much the only build i have not gotten to test with any long duration, i need the evocation and clearcasting for longer mana duration for pve instances MC, BWL, and AQ40.

Otherwise i would stick with the frost/fire.
If you can get used to it, you'll do good in pvp.
When I was frost I stayed closer to the top for total kills (more honor, not as much recognition)
as opposed to when I went fire and stayed at the top for finishing blows (pretty much will make macros set to /target bastard_mage_001 /kill)

nothing quite like running in with a group of people and seeing hunter's mark cast on you in seconds and 5 pets running at you.

i've seen warriors with the untamed blade and the destroyer of worlds and they are some of the worst pvpers ever.

on the other hand, i see it in other warriors hands and i know to run for my life being a mage.

yea i mean i have ZIn'Rokh and i take pride in the fact that i own alliance grand marshall warriors day in and day out and ppl with askhandi. however the damage on that axe is SO high that gear would definitely outweigh them against me with my weapon. its a 90 base weapon damage difference...almost 100, being .2 faster, with better stats and an overpowered proc. in a 1on1 with a warrior that is a HUGE difference. especially a bluebie running around PVPing in full wrath or something with that thing = me not hitting them for hardly anything and them obliterating me.

Its funny....you people probably love WoW for reasons like raiding or PVP,

but I cancelled about 6 weeks ago, the one thing i miss is the world. the way the music and landscape mixes together is so engrossing. really the ambience is just so amazing. the towns, the bustling capital cities, the lush forests, thats what i loved the most.

honestly i miss that too. the game is totally different for me now. i LOVE the PVP. but this is my first MMO and i remember being just amazed with this game when i started in beta.

exploring this huge world. i LOVED leveling and saying "sweet! i get to move on to a new zone to quest!". its crazy thinking about that now. i guess it was the new glow of my first mmo and being a fantasy fan. but i was just enveloped in the evironment and exploring, and killing alliance in the world with my friends.

i still enjoy the game but it is definitely totally different

if someone is referring to someone like a "level 19 twink" or a "level 29 twink" they are talking about a level 19 character for example who someone has bought and gotten from instances the best possible gear in every slot they could have in the game so far plus gotten libram enchants like +100 hp to head and legs and put crusader on their weapons and stuff just to be 'gods' in their respective battleground range.

ppl also use it to describe "bluebies" or lootwhores that care too much about the PVE side of the game

anyone ever visit the dancing troll village in between Winterspring and Felwood? i know ppl did a lot of this wayyyyy back with the terrain exploits.

took me a long freaking time to get to it based on memory of an old video. went with some friends. no idea why its there, because the npcs are not even targetable. but there is just a huge dance party of trolls. i have a video i could upload sometime.
