to elaborate...if youre talking about DE by the guild because no one else needed them, all that means is that your guild has progressed to the point where plenty of ppl have ashkandi etc. i just gave one example, and im sure any warrior you had who picked up drake talon/utb/etc had it for more than a month or two unless ashkandi dropped every week

if youre talking about sharding as in DEing because they got something better then that doesnt dent my argument either. of course its going to be DEd at some point

and yea drake talon is one of the best warrior weapons in the game right now. especially for an orc warrior.

HWL(GM)/"orange hammer"/Ashkandi are all the best weapons and in the large scheme of things very close in overall damage output.

next behind them you have untamed blade/spinal reaper/drake talon cleaver/bonereaver's edge

these are all fairly equal and it just depends on what you want.

BRedge is really nice DPS however it lacks any HPs or any AP which in my opinion is a huge mark against it

untamed blade is very high dps as well, and the proc is sick. however it also has no AP, and relies on its proc for AP. (still very very nice and a viable choice)

spinal reaper(especially for an axe) is deifnitely one of the best end game weapons still. ESPECIALLY good for owning the dps charts in raid instances because of its free 20 rage every time you kill a target that gives you experience. so everything in mc, zg, bwl, aq etc is tagged to give a 60 experience (even tho we dont use it) therefore your starting every new fight in fast pulling areas like mc with an extra 20 rage

Drake Talon Cleaver is more DPS than untamed blade as well as having a consistant + 44 AP and some extra HPs. very similar dps to spinal reaper (one less maybe?) with 170 more HPs and more attack power. DTC also has a damage proc which is a fairly favorable percentage. between this proc, and the extra AP DTC out dps's a spinal reaper in PVP from what ive seen.
the dps is maybe 2 lower than bonereavers edge but once again the proc and constant AP make this weapon outdps BRedge as well.

IMO Drake Talon Cleaver is the best endgame weapon for a warrior before they hit that current "top tier trinity"

right below all these you have what i have, a Zin'Rokh Destroyer of Worlds. It may lack in a bit of dps compared to the others in pure base listed DPS but its got decent high end damage, and +72 AP and 280HP is just nasty. waiting to upgrade to a DTC to hold me over till ashkandi/HWL

we dont use dkp now for that very reason. we are a PVP focused guild and even when we had dkp we awarded points for pvping etc. we just feel (and when i say we, im not a leader, just speaking for hte guild) that someone who signs on and goes to EVERY raid and racks up their dkp shouldnt get the pvp loot over someone who is on during the day PVPing with the guild tag and in guild groups as well as contributing a decent amount (maybe not making all raids but a lot) to our pve as well.

we have no guild leader, but an Inner Circle of ppl from every class and a few extras. when loot drops everyone sends tells to a designated IC and they decide who gets the loot. most guilds probably couldnt do this without ppl getting pissed off, but it has gone very smoothly

^^^^ That's kinda lame. To get PvP gear from your guild you'd have to be playing like 8-10 hours a day every day without exception. How do you not get burned out? What all are you raiding? You talk about loot from BWL but are you actually there? Raiding MC/BWL/ZG and starting on AQ20/40 takes up a LOT of time. I understand that points award people that can make it, but asking them to come PvP during the day seems to be asking a lot of the people in your guild (if they want decent loot).

Not that it would make a difference to me, as a Rogue, any gear is PvP gear

haha yea a lot of classes their pve set is also pvp.

but nah this guild has been together for 9 years. its the vision of the guild. theyve always included pvp in their dkp or now just for consideration. everyone PVPs pretty much and everyone in the guild agrees with their inclusion of pvp into pve loot consideration (since we consider PVE as merely a means to and end, purely for gearing up for pvp)

we do considerably less PVE than other guilds, but when they do them the guild is VERY good. We hadnt put a lot of focus on BWL, just PVP still, until we realized our gates would be opening sometime soon (this is about 2 weeks ago) for AQ. and we were on Vael in BWL (because they hadnt given it much time). Within 7 days we moved from Vael to Nefarian and that was only spending 3 nights in there. so yea everything on farm basically right now (besides Nef) coming into AQ content.

ive been extrememly happy with being able to join this guild

there are 2 caster trinkets that allow their burst damage to be ridiculously high when one or both of them are used at the same time, allowing mages and warlocks to crit for well over 3,4,5k and ive even seen druid starfire crit for 2500ish or so if i remember correctly.

one comes from MC the other from the heart of hakkar turn in.

luckily come patch 1.10 only one trinket will be able to be used at a time. when one is activated there is a cooldown applied to the other equal to that of the duration of the first one's buff.

you will be able to use both back to back bu not at the same time.

it makes flag carrying in wsg kind of trivial when a mage can pop both trinkets and one or twoshot anything in the game. (and yes ive been oneshot having ~5300 hp at the time in pvp gear)

My guild is in an alliance with a couple others and they have begun running MC. I have been invited on a few runs of it but I want to get my valor stuff before going in there. I will be less than useless geared like i am now, especially with no fire resist. (I am aware Valor != fire resist)

That and ive been playing alts a lot recently, mainly hunters and rogues.

Yeah i would like to run it a few times just to see all of the encounters and bosses, same with ZG. I just have a low tollerence for stupidity (as you can tell from how i post on tww) so if I get with a group much bigger than my guild i start to get annoyed an it becomes un-fun.

i think my best moment was in a pug AB it was very very close but we HAD to take a 4th point to win so we had one guy at the farm, a hunter. the farm gets capped without an announcement of an inc (not that that is new in a pug) but when asked why he didnt call it out he said "well there were 3 coming, and i didnt want to waste time typing out '3 inc farm' when i had a chance to kill at least one of them!" (he didnt kill any).

also all the warriors getting sap'd on getting flags capped on them make me lol. especially the ones that tell me "i didnt have enough rage to break sap!"
