Ok, so our alliance was going for our first Rag takedown last night. Last week was our first attempt and we got him to 5%. We are farely confident that we can take him down. First attempt we wipe at 1%. Ouch. We had one or two misfortunes that caused this . . . like losing all of our hunters on the first Sons.

So we start getting ready for our second attempt after we wipe. I wish I took a screenshot of the chat b/c it went something like this:

Prime: Still need Paladin buffs.
Zak: A few groups are still missing long term buffs like AI and Fort. Lets get those up first so that our pally buffs are at full duration.
Ragnaros: BE PURGED BY FIRE.
Zak: Oh shit.

Some one accidentally pulled. We were missing about 50% of our buffs and no one was in position. We had 2 waves of sons but we still managed to take him down after the second group. That was just brutal.

my favorite rag wipe of all time was when we had already wiped so rag is up, and we're getting ready to go.

everyones waiting on mages to come back from afk to slowly give everyone AI.

and so im fooling around and i go to put hunters mark on rag. But conc shot is right next to my mark button and so i hit it by accident.

im like OHSHIT! And i see it hit him and say resisted. And then nothing happens.

so im like phew maybe he didn't aggro.


and then he starts killing folks and everyones like WTF on vent and then I laugh and feign death.

everyone dies and people are yelling about who pulled. And im over here laughing my ass off and then i get up out of FD.

Nothing quite like a 300+ ship preplanned fleet engagement between the 2 biggest alliances in EvE with minimal lag because you told the devs you were going to throw down before hand.

My raid group tried rag for the first serious time the other weekend, and we got him down to 56%. Pretty good. Our tanks and healers were fine, just need to get more cores/leather for FR for our rogues.

so i think the game blew the stock fan on my X700 on sunday...thing could barely move even if you pushed at it with your finger.

I got some huge ass ATI cooler fan/scute thing for it.

I had to use an iron to heat the old sink up enough for the paste to release it

works like a champ now!

So for the first time since the lower levels my dumbass move caused a party to wipe. God damn I felt stupid. I hit tab to select the closest target, either hit it twice or it selected one from the next farthest group for some reason...anyway, I ended up pulling three extra guys in mara. I'm such a n00b.
