YES! Worldwide skepticism about EVERYTHING is the right way to go. Let's just always assume everyone is a liar, all the time, with no evidence or reason to support that thesis, just because we feel like we're right.

Obviously you know how NCAA recruiting works, you must have been a coach on the recruiting trail for a long time. Must have played some college sports as a recruited scholarship player, must have recorded tapes of the types of conversations coaches have with athletes... Oh, no, wait, you just think you're right because your gut tells you so.

There's a gentleman's way to play the game, and there's a sleazebags. And while I'll admit readily that some people in the game probably negative recruit sometimes, that doesn't make it ok. It especially doesn't make it the way I'd want my staff to act. Good coaches and good recruiters keep the spotlight on the awesomeness of their own program, not the shortcomings of others.

TreeTwista is right...to get back on topic of idiotic IC posts here we go,
A thread title:
Quote :
"UNC Football: Why Chapel Hill Has the Best Game-Day Experience "

Quote :
"
There are hundreds upon hundreds of need-to-see stadiums in this football country.

And whether you're a North Carolina Tar Heel fan or not, Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill is one of those places you have to put on your bucket list.
"

Quote :
"The Tar Heels play their home football games at Kenan Memorial Stadium. It is one of the most striking athletic coliseums in America.
"

Quote :
"Its setting gives it a majestic glow, giving it the distinguished nickname of "America's Most Beautiful Stadium," and has been applauded by many sports magazines for its jaw-dropping scenery."

Quote :
"For 70 years, the mascot of the Tar Heels has been a ram. This came after North Carolina State named its mascot as a wolf. UNC had to match it."

Was not aware of that, but since when does a ram "match" a wolf? Unless he means that wolves and rams (well, sheep) go together because of the whole "wolf in sheep's clothing" type thing and wolves prey on sheep.

Quote :
"The Tar Heels have a combined total of 77 All-American players to have worn a baby-blue jersey. They have sent 213 players to the NFL, including Lawrence Taylor, Julius Peppers, Willie Parker and Jeff Saturday. Nine Tar Heels were selected in the 2011 draft.
"

Seriously? Willie Parker is your claim to fame...I'm pretty sure he made the NFL in spite of playing at UNC.

Quote :
" Don't be frightened when you see a wave of booming fans wearing a sea of blue—it's meant for the other team"

I'm pretty sure 99% of that is just made up shit. UNC has no football tradition, no one outside of North Carolina even knows what the name of their stadium is, let alone believes it is one the premier stadiums in the nation.

Yes, this shit parking situations are not only fun but if you are one of the select few you can ACTUALLY park in the UNC hospital parking deck and take up more spaces with your tailgate tent, stealing precious parking real estate from people who need access to the hospital.

But that's not all. The stadium, which just became a bowl stadium, has had so little attendance in years past, that you could just walk right up at the beginning of any game and get tickets right from the ticket booth. Seriously, every football fan wishes they had that luxury.

Also, Re: Willy Parker being their claim to fame:

Willy Parker hates UNC so much, that when the players announce their names and colleges at the beginning of NFL games, Willy Parker says the name of his High School. He doesn't even acknowledge that he went there, that's how much he hates the program.

just googled "most beautiful college football stadium" and UNC has a link 2nd from the top. In there it says:

Quote :
"Considering its majestic setting among the Carolina pines, many observers say Kenan Stadium is the most beautiful football facility in the country. One national sports magazine rated Kenan one of the five best places in America to watch a college football game."

Which seems like bullshit. Wouldn't you name the magazine that said this if it wasn't a biased piece of trash? I think you would.

lol

Quote :

its the NCAA's fault if Blake did anything wrong because they cleared him to be an assistant coach at UNC

Haha. Even if Blake did nothing wrong, why should the NCAA apologize for investigating him? That's the purpose of an investigation...to discover what wrongdoing, if any, that someone did.

From IC.

Greg Barnes has been wrong numerous times during this investigation. He has said 2 or 3 times that he expects the investigation to wrap up on [insert whatever date] and has been wrong everytime so far.

The thread on IC about expecting to receive the NOA around 6/10 is pretty entertaining. It's basically everyone arguing about whether it's been too long to be considered "around 6/10", people knob-slobbing Greg Barnes, speculating that they've already received it but don't want to release it yet, and the occasional lame NC State or PackPride joke tossed in.

It's all a bunch of jerkoffs wanting to be "in the know," so they believe some bullshit that some other "in the know" jerkoff said and start repeating it. When it turns out to not be true they all have a huge circlejerk coming up with reasons why it wasn't and then do the whole thing over again in a couple of days. I understand that it's humorous at times, but don't act like it's something new.

3. Accusing NC State of cheating
4. Being grown men making up silly names to call people on the internet

simple division isnt this guys strong suit apparently

Quote :
"-$13K over more than three years for 11 kids is roughly $300 for each of those 11 kids , or about $50 per kid on the team per year. Double check my math, but is this what we are really discussing? Speaking of wasting taxpayer money and calories. Doesn't the media think that maybe there are kids on the team who DON'T have cars who must carpool."

they sure do have a hard-on for NCSU all of a sudden. oh yeah, and more math fun

Quote :
"$13,000 divided by $1,600,000 equals .008125 percent. Issued to 12 football players over 3 years. $2000 remains to be paid. My question: Where does this stack up against NCSU, Duke, Ohio State, Southern Cal, Auburn, Alabama, heck, even Tennessee? Lets compare apples to apples here. After all, is it REALLY about preferences or is it really "yellow" journalism?"
