Anyone else grinding CP for ranks?

Decided to grind towards Field Marshal, maybe Grand Marshal (but I got an Ashkandi -- just in case they scale GM weaps in Expansion). Heh I'm rank 7, and I grinded enough CP to get top 15 WS, I know it's gona piss some ppl off that are going for rank 12 and 13.

This other guild that we hate has 2 ppl rank 13 going for 14, we just totally fucked them up this week CP wise. They came on our vent asking us to *join* their PvP group and stop making them work twice as hard at getting standings. Then we were like "then you can decide when we can pvp or not, fuck that."

Yes, I can get all my gear from BWL/AQ, I thought I might as well work to be the best in pvp. The GM weapons are a "status" symbol aside from the fact that they kick ass.

I never said they were a "waste on a raid", I said no one cared how much DPS you could do in a raid because your job in any difficult encounter, the moment in which you will shine, will be tanking. Rogues, mages, and hunters will outdps you in almost every encounter. Warrior DPS doesn't impress me, what impresses me is a warrior that can hold aggro through my fireball crits and that can take over tanking at a moments notice. And my original point was that MS warriors > Fury warriors in PVP, which is heavily based on burst dmg, an area where Fury warriors just can't compete. Your PVE DPS is nothing to write home about, you're useless in PVP, and the only time anyone will care that you exist is when you have to pull out a sword and shield and tank. In other words, go roll a combat/sword rogue so you'll at least top the DPS charts and blame Blizzard for class balance based on solo PVE (these new priests are fucking stupid).

after this week ill probably be about halfway through rank 13. Ive just taken a really slow consistent route (altho you cant just consistently get below avg numbers still) so instead of having to get #1 for around 3 straight weeks ive just been hanging in the top 10/15 for the past 2mos since hitting rank 12. By the time i get out of school mathematically ill only have to go nonstop and get #1 standing for 1 week, so it took awhile but it allowed for a real life and school.

GM might be a waste of time since Ashkandi ~= GM Claymore. (unless they scale it in the exp -- and I give serious consideration to this.)

But the armor isn't. FM/Marshal armor has a lot of stam and with enchants can hit around 5500hp unbuffed for warr (5k hp is the par for dps gear). The legplates are second best in the game (Conqueror's is slightly better). And the chest isn't bad (bit low on str). I really set out to get the leggings, but if I'm gona get Marshal, I might as well grind for another 2 weeks and get FM for the whole set.

Plus, I'm in the top pvp group on the alliance side. Very easy to farm CP.

you are wrong, i dont know how to explain it better. Warriors shine as tanks, sure, when you need them, but any spec warrior can tank. MS>Fury in pvp because of the debuff, not the burst damage, a fury with the right gear (fury gear is alot differant then MS gear, the problem is alot of ppl spec form MS to fury, dont change thier armor, and it doesnt work nearly as well for them). As for our PVE dps we can match/beat combat rogues. I know, I've done it, but it is totally differant then MS.

Fury warriors have to know how to be furies to do it right, but you will be going 30% haste almost all the time, and hitting like a truck if you are slam build or slicing up like a sword rogue
