a little late, but a good example for what i was saying happened just now. this is why i disagree with warriors wearing multiple leather/mail pieces to get all that +hit or AP etc. (altho there ARE some really nice mail pieces for warriors):

"Shankems" is fury warrior that has recently switched to DW and uses a couple leather and mail pieces now and has about 4400 HP and a lot lower AC than a 2H MS warrior. i couldnt scroll back into the log for the first hit.

but a warrior shouldnt get 3hit by another warrior, nor should they get crit, even MS, for 1930 by another warrior IMO. kind of goes against the idea i had of the class when i picked it when the game came out.

spent about 3 hours healing on emps tonight working on transitions / bug control. finally got it down pretty well , put in the dps to 91% before initial break down.

going back in tomorrow with teh consumables.

Warlock botting was a pain because inventory management didn't work terribly well, so you'd either wind up with like 500 Soul Shards or none at all, and then trying to figure out whether you could use them or not was a bitch, and if you wanted to use anything other than the Imp, you needed a Soul Shard, but if the bot wasn't collecting them you were kind of stuck without a pet, and god knows that recoding it to handle the whole "sacrifice pet and get mana regen" was out of the question.

Basically botting a Warlock sucked. The mage is hands down the best class for it.

Anyone have a guide for the High priestess in ZG?

We pretty much had it down. When the MT lost aggro, the other two would try to grab her and bring her back while no one DPS'd her in spider form. Drained her mana in priest form but it seemed like she kept healing herself every 3 mins or so. Got her down to about 50% then we would wipe. Just didn't have enough DPS going on. No warlocks, one mage, so it kinda sucked. shit load of rogues though, but they couldn't do shit but take down the spider spawns and avoid her poison AoE.

Meges, warlocks, and hunters make that fight a lot easier because they can stay out of range of the poison AoE.

Basic strategy for that fight is that you have melee dps up on her with the main tank. Her heal is interruptable, so get the CTBossMod to tell you when she is casting and your rogues should be kicking and warriors shield bashing to interrrupt the cast. When she goes to spider form she webs the MT and runs away, normally to the mages, locks, or healers. You have second tank sit with the ranged group and when she comes running to you, the tank taunts her and drags her back to the MT, who then takes aggro back when the web is gone.

Rinse, repeat, kill spawns, take loot.




Completely unrelated, to that, we got Nef to 65% last night... we just need to work on the transition of phase 1 ---> 2... keep haivng like 3 people die from the initial shadow flame that hits everyone (we all have cloaks, it's just that some people aren't getting healed back enough to survive the initial blast)... so then we are trying to do phase 2 with 30 people instead of 40 and it is SLOW going... and we eventually wipe.

So whats the best end game damage spec for a warlock? SM/Ruin DS/Ruin? I know about the sac/rez trick but how many times are you going to do that in an instance unless you have a designated druid rezing your pet. People are telling ms SM/Ruin till im geared to the point where its hard to not pull agro then switch to DS/Ruin. Any thoughts?

SM/Ruin build got hammere with the CoS nerf. It was all about big vulnerbility crits with shadowbolt and shadowburn. Now that it has been taken away, SM/DS is much better for shadow damage. The extra dmg from the succubus sacrifice is taken into account after +dmg gear (I think). So ppl just load on +spell gear and let it rip.

that was our problem, crazy dps (our record for going 'balls deep' dps on a nromal raid was droping flamegor in 3:30)

emps are alot more about paying attention to the whole room at all times, and it can be really taxing. I have a vid of me doing mutated bug killing in the middle, but it looks like ass so i havent uploaded it anywhere. If i can find it, i'll link the rest of my guilds videos though.
