wasn't the microwave weapon some type of military prototype? meant to deplete the enemy's water source?
If so, they probably designed it so it wouldn't vaporize humans, or they would never be able to use it anyway. If they didn't think about that, then it is the same as developing a machine gun that shoots you at the same time you shoot someone else, pointless.

microwaves reflect back and forth between the metal of the water pipes?
since people arent' made of metal the microwaves just pass through them without reflecting back and forth inside the people?
did i just make that up? 6/28/2005 2:36:32 PM |

It could be that the microwave emitter is directional, ie it only shoots microwaves down at the ground, and that's why the water pipes start bursting without everybody going POP!. If there was somebody standing directly beneath the emitter as it went by, though, then yeah I would imagine that they'd blow up like a ballpark hotdog.
Still, wouldn't it have been simpler to just microwave everybody than to spend all this time sneaking in a hallucinogen, putting it in the city's water supply, then vaporizing the water to make a weaponized aerosol that would make people go crazy? Or is the point of the League of Shadows to not make it look like mass homicide, but to make it look like that the city simply collapsed under its own weight?

i've gotten back into comics (sort of)
thanks to jim lee drawing superman (Last year) and THE REAL peeps drawing/writing JLI (maguire jl classified)
most of the flagship titles are a big dissapointment
except for that one guy who is drawing dark knight.(.he did a flash which was awesome...picked that up..gorgeous art)
oh and majestic is cool
adventures of supes looks cool, but byrne's superman (which i worshiped in the 80s) fucking sucks
i got that one alan more comic about brits
but man, the power girl and the supergirl are BORing as far as art
oh and i wish frank cho would get the heck back to liberty meadows 8/11/2005 11:34:11 PM |
