meh, my warlock hit 60 a month ago. haven't really started pvp'ing w/him yet a: b/c I was really focused on BWL and b: I was making robes of the void. I hope to start deathcoiling you fools sometime soon. Much more than being a shadow priest.

but I gather if I was able to hit rank 10 on my holy priest, and enjoyed the process, I hope to go even higher than that rank, and have a lot more fun.

You should go shadow/holy build.

It's wonky and good for nothing but making ridiculous pvp videos, but it's fairly fun to play.

Kill somebody - Get Spirit tap - Get your ridiculous +spell dmg from the holy tree talent - Holy fire ftw.

1.10 was absolutely ridiculous for teh priesties.

^^ There are alot of locks in my guild that give up stats to max out on +spell damage. In that case, it's hard to beat Robes of the Void.

I'm not saying it's the best option, but if you are going for pure spell damage, robes of the void have +10 on robes of the battleguard. Sure, the extra stats will more than make up the difference, but I've got better things to blow my rpp on.

haha. actually, I'm in a huge rpp debt. I got 5 pieces of felheart and 5 pieces of nemesis in like two weeks. I'm at the point where I hope nothing else drops because it's going to take months to pay it off.

You should have two warriors and two rogues on each platform. That way, when the Prophet teleports from one platform to another and wipes aggro, he has someone within melee range to aggro and will not start using his Earthstrike ability. The four people on each platform stay there and never move. When he is on your platform, you attack, when he leaves, you chill out and wait for him to come back. The other 28 people should be on the top platform doing ranged dps/healing.whatever you do

When you get more than 4 people in melee range, he starts doing the AE, so when you first run everyone by him, the first people there should be kicking, shield bashing, whatever interrupting ability you have.

We are forced to take set pieces if we don't have them. I've got the Kris of Unspoken Names and am going for the Talon of Furious Concentration from aq20.

Our rpp system is terrible. There are large minimums for each item, and then you still have to bid. Therefore, something like Claw of Chromaggus has been known to go 5 times as high as Nemesis Chest.

^^what happens when more than 1 image gets on the platform and another warrior comes up to try and take it off, then starts getting the whole platform arcane explosioned. I think i've successfully kicked the spell like...once. I even tried "ifcasting-kick else sinister strike" type of deal.

Because then a class could work it out so that everyone says "no" to a peice and then get their entire sets for free.

That's why there are two warriors per platform... one is tanking and the other is dps... of another image comes over, he tanks it til it leaves again or dies

we have never had all three go to the same platform... but then again, one of the fakes dies almost immediately most times, so there's no danger of that

put simply, you don't run up and try to take it off... you deal with it where it is til it moves again.



and as far as DKP systems go, if no one wants it in my guild, it gets DE'd... As a result we have a stockpile of crystals thanks to the MC runs when we don't have enough for BWL, and i am getting my +15 agi to gloves enchant for free once i get my DS gloves

goddamn drakes.

well yea of course if no one wants it it gets DEd. but i guess i interpreted what the guy earlier was saying as he didnt want it because he was saving DKP but they forced him to take it anyways. (ie he would have taken it if it wouldnt have cost him dkp because he was saving for something else).

overall i think that if you have honest officers an 'honor system' benefits individuals and the guild overall more. /shrug

our guild recently switched from dkp to merit , and it's been a horrible transition.


mostly because they stated it would be a upgrade as needed system. and it turned out to be a "who they think needs it most" system. people with benediction getting a regailia, when there's a druid there with soulkeeper :x

so I got back on my fury warrior last night

and I have never tanked in MC/ZG. Ever. just have been melee DPS.

get a wsp from a guild to go off tank/main tank in AQ20.

Incredibly fun. Did Moam, Kurrinax, Buro or whatever, and that long ass general fight.

I just had something happen that you guys might find interesting. One of my jobs is to forecast plant diseases. On the disease forecasting website, we have a report form where growers can report disease. Today, we had a report submitted filled with advertisements for WoW gold. It's annoying, but it made me laugh for some reason.

B/c my priest is in AQ40, my lock just runs around shadowbolting stuff. Maybe if I'm lucky and extra healers show up for MC he can get in and get free loot.

Yodajammies I can dream up all kinds of good builds for priests since the patch, but I'm so far stuck into +healing, that it'd be a huge waste of resources that I've dumped around that build.

had about hte most fun tonight that ive had playing wow in a long time. some alliance on our server scheduled a "roaming 5v5" pvp tournament in 1k/shimmering flats. about 10 alliance teams(plus guards to keep ppl out of the area) and about6 horde teams. i hate the organized pvp.

so i got a 40 man raid from a bunch of the guilds i talk to and headed in there and crashed the party. both sides brought more people after we wiped them the first time until is was probably close to 70v70 open field in shimmering flats. got some great fraps.

kind of reminded me of old school pvp ala tarren mill

I've seen more people at 1 castle seige in l2 than anyone that pvps period on my server I believe

Castle seiges in L2 were really fun although extremely laggy. L2 was such a good game because PVP was such a big part of the game so everyone came out to the sieges, especially if you were on Bartz or Kain. In WoW a lot of people just have no interest in PVP at all.
