I dont know ... I think more people over all like pvp in wow, but the hardcore pvp extremists are VERY FEW and far between. in L2 it was so stressful everyone was megahardcore about pvp. pvp really was serious business in wow it's kinda a hobby.

PVP in WoW is broken. It's either fighting for the sake of fighting, or it's you versus the honor system. The fact that you'r fighting members of the opposing faction is coincidental.

I'll give WoW some points for AV. I like the idea of having larger scale goals built into PVP. I just wish AV took less than eleventy billion hours to finish. If one faction isn't willing to lay down and give up, it takes forever.

Next patch, most of the AV NPC's are being taken out. Look out for alliance teams doing the warlock ninja FTW.

Yeah I tried AV on the test server. There are very few NPCs, and those that remain are really weak.

Not so much. The horde base has a long little cove of a GY in their base. Players can go right into it and summon ppl. The alliance base GY does not have a little cove. Plus it is in line and in range of the alliance towers. Being shot = in combat = no summoning. To do it horde side, you need to take out the towers first.

well finally got my last proph piece last nite, the BOE belt. Not that I'd wear the full proph. set other than in the Vael fight, since I have better pieces (Trans/ZG), but meh....yah full tier 1. Lost on a cauterizing band however to a shammy, then I conviced the other priests to not let dirty shammies win what is obviously a priest ring, so another priest rolled and won.

After a 2 1/2 hr clear of MC, went to BWL and implemented the new "kill everything" policy in razorgore's room, which is def. a better way of doing it than dropping totems in the middle and kiting lego's, and more fun btw.

Still no trans drops however. Must be nice to be a hunter b/c of the 6 hunters we had at vael, we had to d/e DS belt.

yes... that crossbow is fucking sexy

and kiting the Legios in the razorgore fight makes the fight easy as shit. Sleep the dragons, kill the mages, hunters lay frost traps in their path and the warriors kite like crazy. if done right, no one dies, they all run away after the last egg, and you pwn razorgore.

btw, that was the 4th one we have had drop, our 2 sword rogues and our one fury warrior already have one. So i was not being a greedy hunter. I never even thought to roll until tonight when it was mentioned that all the people who NEEDED it had it.

mmm fankriss will go down tonight. getting to him is def. fun, brd. emp. run on roids.

two weeks in AQ, and I must say that the boss fights there are actually fun. whereas bwl is all about line of sight (from a healer standpoint), in AQ you most constantly adjust. One of the best experiences in the game so far has been us downing sartura, you could tell that everyone had gotten to the point where they were just playing at the top of their game.

Of course i know that the Barb exists. Actually I went on a long diatribe a few pages back about how i don't really want it except for using it as a PvP weapon.

As of right now, we still haven't downed Sartura. And even once we do, i am 3rd in line point-wise to get the barb. Which means we will likely be working our way through Naxx before i have a chance at getting it. My current setup affords me +60agi, some strength and some stamina as opposed to just 66 agility. And the Attack power gained by Trueshot would give me more AP than the survival talent that increases Agility.

Also with my current weapon setup i have about 1.1% crit as opposed to 1.4 with the barb... And really, I would prefer to have extra rAP than an extra .3% crit. It would be a difference of about 90 attack power, which translates to 3 or 4 dps (white non-crit). I will take that over .3% crit any day (especially when i am already at about 20% crit i think).

correction : trueshot would give more ap than the agility from -THAT ONE ITEM- if you get into the 600 agility range. Survival outweighs marks as far as ap goes.

to get to 5/5 LR i would need to drop 24 points from Marksmanship

I would have to drop the following:

Trueshot Aura (+100AP to everyone in my party)
Ranged Specialization (+5% damage with ranged weapons)
Scatter Shot
Mortal Shots (30% damage bonus to critical hits)
Barrage (15% damage bonus to Multi-Shot and Volley)
Improved Serpent Sting (+10% damage with Serpent Sting
Improved Hunter's Mark (+15% increase in rAP from base mark)

That translates to a lot of damage for some health, 3%+hit, and 15% agility (which yes, becomes a lot more useful once you hit the 600 Agility range)


And yes, i know survival talents rule for PvP, but I don't PvP that much, so it's not a huge concern.
