pvp is just as prevalent on pve as pvp servers ...

and you dont have to use scatter shot ....


and you dont lose pve damage with the right gear.

i PvP when i choose to... and that isn't often.

also, when i do PvP i do so in a group, and i am built wonderfully for group PvP.

I don't see how gear would replace those talents... sure, with better gear, i would be able to match my current damage output in a survival spec... but i would be doing more damage in that gear if i kept my current spec... so what's the argument there?

the more damage i can do with autoshot, the better i serve the raid. Sure, i use multi-shot, arcane shot, and serpent sting (when needed) as well, but that BASE damage is the key. that way on fights where i have to watch my aggro, i am doing good damage, but not having to do it in bursts. Therefore i am much more unlikely to pull aggro in that 30 second span between feigning death (i am referring to bosses that wipe aggro and such here).

no .... at ~the 600 agility gear level survival outgains marks for rap and dps. marks doesn't scale with gear nearly as well as survival.. you lose barrage and ranged weapon spec. whipeee oh and imp serp sting of course :x cause we all know how usefull hunter dots are in pve ...

the only remotly pvp centric talents in marks are imp range, scatter, aim shot, and TSA.

you've got 3/4 even if you go to LR.

Theres no way you really put points into those talents.

And you dont drop scatter shot. in a 21/30 marks/surv spec.

The only things you should be loosing are barrage, ranged wep spec, and tsa. But these are made up for by LR once you hit a certain level of agi. Along with minor bonuses from the slaying talents and killer instinct.

the only way you'd lose scatter is if you went to wyvern sting ... and if you do ... well jump off a cliff

you'd in allhonesty do more damage if you dropped imp hunters mark and picked up imp AoTH if you weren't joking about that talent :x

well i have 5 points in beast mastery for imp aspect of the hawk for the increased attack speed proc.

and i have Imp Serpent sting at the moment because i was speccing for the WS demon fight and haven't changed it... I still apply it whenever i can when other people aren't keeping the mob debuffed fully

and Imp Hunter's mark benefits all of the hunters, and when you run with 5 of them, one of them having it makes for a lot more damage overall... i chose to get it so others could have the benefit without having to spend the points

but fuck it, i will respec after sunday's raid for monday's raid and compare the numbers

imp mark adds 16 rap to each person attacking the target

moving those points into effeciency or pretty much any other talent would benifit the raid way more.

its about the worst talent in the game.

yeah... the more i am looking at this the more i am seeing your point... i admittedly went straight to the defensive rather than really looking at the numbers

Also, admittedly, i havne't really looked at respeccing since just after i started really raiding, so i appreciate it. As i said, i will compare DPS and damage numbers from Sunday and Mondays raids with each spec

I alreayd have 5/5 efficiency, btw, because when i started all this i had trouble with running out of mana in boss fights (still do on Rag, but that's because it is one of the few fights that i can just kinda go apeshit on)

I think it at least is due time to rethink my spec overall, even if i don't choose to go survival at this point.

that i can definitely agree with... BM was turned into the farming tree, and not much else. I have heard people tout it's PvP usefulness, and then i watch those hunters get destroyed by Survival hunters.

yea its pretty much LOL I CAN MAYBE KILL A CASTER EVERY 2 MINUTES!!

If you really dont want any points in survival then it really doesn't matter what you get in marks b/c you're basically gonna fill the tree.

and 5/31/15 will have the slayer skills, but thats about all thats going to help with raiding in surv. until you decide to spec 21/30.

yeah, right now i am at 5/40/6 and i do more than my fair share of damage... but if i can do more.. then all the better (not like i am ever gonna break into the top 5 in damage any time soon)

I must also note, it makes me so happy for Vael to give our best geared warlock BA when he has 2% life left. It's just sick, really.

5/5 Improved Devotion Aura in the paladin protection tree is equally worthless. 5 talent points for 185 more armor to an aura that no one uses anyway, whoopeeeeee!

I feel I am addicted to WoW because it is two different games. There is the level 60 raiding/social/guild drama/Vent/epeen/epix and then there is leveling laid back enjoying the scenery from 1-59. When I get bored with one I can go to the other. I am also working on a horde lock to get to 60 and pimpzor my blood elf rogue when that comes out.

This hasn't become a job for me at all. I raid, i level alts, i sit in IF and bullshit with friends.

I mean, right now i'm leveling mining so that i can cash in on the stupid inflation that the price of arcane crystals will see while watching the US world cup game.

all good fun still.

And i did end up respeccing. And i did have enough Agility for it to make up for Trueshot. Base DPS dropped by 5, but my ranged AP went up by 28 and my crit% went up by 3%.

i think the only reason i play is b/c i dont have anything else to do.

i have work/school until 8 or 9 every weekday so i cant do those raids. The only other time we raid is on sunday and that has become emps wipes day.

It would be alot better if 1) the pvp system wasn't ass and 2) the alliance weren't ass. As it stands all they ever do is sit in IF and talk(cyber) and play the AH.

of course i dont know what else one would expect from the "fairer" faction.
