They fell for voting for a guy with absolutely no business, executive or leadership experience (in the primary and then in the general) to lead the nation out of "the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression."

The hell I'm not, and I wish our media wouldn't be such pussies and call out Obama's critics for what they are. Look, if you disagree with Obamacare, fine. If you think we shouldn't have passed financial regulations, ok. Think passing things like the lily ledbetter act, cutting private banks out student loans, and additional fuel standards were bad ideas? That's totally ok. But just screaming "look at how poor of a job he did" despite all evidence to the contrary, is just code for "get that nigger out of white house". Period.

Wow....
So, most of America is racist? Because his economic approval rating is near rock bottom, hovering in the 30% range since mid-summer. (note, not overall job approval rating, but how he's handled the economy).
I disagree with how he handled a myriad of things, starting with the auto bailouts. He "prevented a depression" is fucking hilarious. Bush and Paulson had already put TARP in place (which I disagreed with), and Obama continued down that road. The 2009 stimulus was all on his shoulders, and it did not work.... at all. He funneled money to American automakers at the great expense of other auto manufacturers and the American public. He inherited a AAA credit rating for the nation, and lost it. The prices of fuel and food have skyrocketed during his term. His misery index rating is comparable to Carter's. Unemployment has been at 8% for his entire term (two recent reports withstanding... if you wanna out that .1% drop, I hear ya). Deficits have increased every year he's been in office. The stock market looks good, but that's because it's being propped up by the QE III policies of he and Bernanke, meaning it's a house of cards.
I say he shit the bed because he did nothing but continue Keynesian policies, and I disagree with that approach and school of thought.
I am not a Republican, nor am I a racist, but I will not be voting for him. The whole "you're a racist if you criticize this president" bullshit is hilarious.

The thing is that in politics you have "facts" and you have scientific analysis. Now facts is in quotations because they can be heavily biased. But critical analysys, scientifically speaking, is less suspect or prone to bias.
The gop has done their fair share of throwing facts around hazardly about the economy, but several analyses regarding earnings, unemployment and the market in general point to a favorable rebound since the recession. Now, on the other hand, saying that we have more ppl unemployed than in the great depression (which I actually haven't fact checked) may be true, it horribly misrepresents other factors and is an irrelevant point. 11/4/2012 2:26:04 PM |

By what measure did it not work at all? Immediately after the stimulus went into effect, the freefall stopped and we've been recovering ever since. Was that just coincidence?
Quote : | "He funneled money to American automakers at the great expense of other auto manufacturers and the American public. He inherited a AAA credit rating for the nation, and lost it." |
Holy shit. Misleading statement at best, a completely load of bullshit at worst.
Quote : | "The prices of fuel and food have skyrocketed during his term. His misery index rating is comparable to Carter's. Unemployment has been at 8% for his entire term (two recent reports withstanding... if you wanna out that .1% drop, I hear ya)." |
Clearly this has nothing to do with the giant recession that he inherited. How can you pretend that you aren't being willfully ignorant of the circumstances when you say shit like this?
Quote : | "Deficits have increased every year he's been in office. The stock market looks good, but that's because it's being propped up by the QE III policies of he and Bernanke, meaning it's a house of cards." |
And this is why every single economist is saying that the underpinnings of our economy are currently as strong as they've ever been, and whoever is President for the next four years is likely to see anywhere from 12 million to 17 million new jobs created.
Quote : | "I am not a Republican, nor am I a racistbut I will not be voting for him. The whole "you're a racist if you criticize this president" bullshit is hilarious." |

Obama’s America: How the misery index is at one of its highest levels for 28 years
Quote : | "In fact since the Obama Administration took office in 2009, the Misery Index has been steadily rising.
Last year saw the highest average rate of misery since the 1990s under George Bush Sr.
But President Obama, not to mention the 13.9million unemployed Americans, may be heartened to know it's not all bad news.
He said: 'The good news is that other measures suggest conditions aren't quite that bad and over the next 18 months the gloom should lift a little.
The bad news is that households won't be in the mood to boost their spending significantly for several more years.'
The index was first compiled by economist Arthur Okun during the soaring inflation days of the 1970s." |

First, your link doesn't mention Carter at all. I can't imagine this is a surprise to someone of your intellectual standing, since Reagan was president 28 years before the article was written.
Second, Carter's misery index varied from a low of 12.60 to a high of 21.98 a few months before the 1980 election. Obama's misery index reached a high of 12.97 over a year ago. It currently sits at 9.79.
Obama's and Carter's misery index ratings are not comparable.]11/4/2012 3:31:15 PM |

Is he claiming Obamacare gives free health care to people who are below a certain income? Because that is literally just flatly false. The best it does is exempt them from the mandate.
