Tell us what happened or quit complaining. If you were scared, big deal. Send a thank you letter to the pilot for getting you down safely and get over it. The real world is a big, scary place.

You don't get to sue people because you got scared.

You could maybe pull off a lawsuit if it left you mentally scarred in such a way that you were no longer able to fly, and if flying was necessary for your livelihood. Even then, probably not.

Even in that case, you wouldn't be involved in a class action lawsuit unless a very high percentage of the other passengers could reasonably claim the same thing.

If you actually have medical expenses directly resulting from this and you aren't just being a cunt, get a personal injury lawyer and have them deal with. It's quite likely that they'll get you a settlement, at least enough to defray medical costs.

Not to take her side, because she hasn't really given any details as to the extent of her injuries among other details....

BUT....airlines are known to try to completely fuck over people in situations like these as well pretty much every possible scenario when they are at fault and all it would do is take a little effort on their side to remedy the situation. They are pretty much like insurance companies where they will push you to the limit, and the majority of the time the person on the other side just gives up. Its a game of percentages.

So I wouldn't completely discount this person's story until we had all the information...unfortunately for use she's not giving it out.

idk, I read an article a few weeks ago (on tww I think) about some airlines not following protocol for plane inspections. If this was something that should've been caught on a routine pre-flight inspection, some punitive damages may be doled out.

- expecting a lawsuit to have even been filed so soon after the incident
- thinking there'd be classaction status on a single flight (seriously...wtf)
- hinting at her personal business to TWW, but then realizing 'oh shit...I done fucked up aaaaaaaaand I'm not gonna tell them what's so rough about my life because they might be mean '. Yes, we're a mean bunch, but fuck, there are a LOT of users who help when they can, whether that's with knowledge or IRL actions, even when it doesn't benefit them.
- refusing to man up and take care of things herself. If it REALLY is important, she'll take care of things on her own, because, you know, you can't count on other people, and this is especially true when it comes to doing the right thing.
