I still love my mother, but could give 2 fucks about my old teddy bears.

People need to grow up, for christ sakes you all all almost Tricenarians. Losing your shit over a CHILDRENS book is not healthy. It shows that adolescence really is lasting to 40. Sad.

^you need to get laid like a motherfucker.

I agree that if it's something stupid like Harry Potter then no an adult should not be excited. However, movies like this and Lemony Snicket's can be well done and still stimulate that part of the adult mind that still channels the creative imagination leftover from childhood.

You apparently were either severely beaten as a child or grew up in a cult, I don't really know what the fuck is wrong with you

GGMon must be one of the worst people in the world to hang out with.

from his rants about politics to this thread the dude sounds like an amazing bore.

he does need to get laid but i doubt any woman under the ripe age of 65 would want anything to

do with someone so uptight about everything.

fuck off dude, go away .... go find a retirement home to play at since those people sound about your speed

i guess im not sure what his problem is. I could see if this "adolescent" behavior was seen in all aspects of a person's life but seriously outside of that I don't see the problem. I have no idea what age GGMon is but I'm willing to bet a lot of people in this thread live similar lives to him...working jobs, paying bills, taking care of the responsibilities that come with being an adult...but beyond that what is the harm in enjoying something like this?

If you want to live to some sort of mold that says "adults do this and children do this, here is the line and when you turn X age you must stop doing all these things" thats fine, but thats not me, sorry. I take care of my adult responsibilities and outside of that I enjoy what I enjoy.

Also, you do realize that ADULTS are the ones who write these books correct? My fiance has an English degree and also a degree/certification in elementary education and has a big interest in children's book. She and I have talked about writing children's books together and we both love this book. So, naturally I am interested in this.

If you have a reason that everyone else in this thread besides yourself should not be interested in this beyond your own perception that you are too "mature" for this and we should be too, I'd like to hear it.

^^^ well said. I don't know what that guy's problem is, but he must have a big object stuck up his butt or something. There is nothing wrong with enjoying the same things as children. Reading children's books does not equal immaturity. Then again, GGmon is a troll, and many of the posts from this guy are terrible troll attempts accusing people of being "immature".

Go play in the nursing homes, troll.

I will definitely be going to see this when it comes out! I remember reading the book, but I need to re-read it. I think I have parts of it confused with another.

And I am very much a fan of Shrek movies, can't wait for the 4th to come out.

And X-Men, there's another new one coming out this summer.

Call me immature all you want, but I bet I have equal if not more responsibilities than many people in this thread!

I can;t get laid - my wifes junk is all fucked up from birth giving.

Quote :

Actually - it is wrong. Its called a state of arrested development, and it is why we are a generation of man children stuck in debt. Do you think your Grandfather would rush out at 25 and waste $texas on a video game system or be buying old transformers off EBAY? No, he would be paying his mortgage or investing what little cash he had.

I can understand the women - their minds never fully mature or evolve - but if you are a man who loses his shit over a movie, book or any product designed for a 6 year old - then you fail at life.

Like pet owners who think thier dog is a child, this generation needs to act like adults.

yes - Harry Potter is stupid, but Lemony Snicket's is on a whole other level.

yes - cause a movie was the same as 400 dollar playstation. Take an introductory economic class.

Anyway - if you freak out over something designed for a 6 year old, you are sad. We have a generation putting themselves in debt, because they still play video games, collect toys and spend thousands of dollars on stupid dogs. Also - do you think are grandparents generation would be stupid enough to pay a high monthly fee just to type “LOL” in a cellphone?

Enjoy your teletubbies movie. If my words piss you off, guess I struck a truth nerve.

Just because $400 toys back then didn't exist doesn't mean people wouldn't have paid for them if they did.

And yeah, I would say a movie during the Great Depression is somewhat comparable.

I have over 20% of my salary going into retirement funds and another 20% going straight into savings accounts and over 10% set aside for a house down payment so far. and guess what? i buy video game systems and will be seeing this movie! did I just blow your mind?

I don't even know what to say if you are going to jump straight from saying its immature to saying that this is what is going to put our generation in debt lol.

I also like how you ignored my post.

With your "fiancé" having such a useless degree - you may want to up those %.

I will say it again - if you lose your shit over something designed for a 6 year old, you are a tool. How many folks have PS3 yet are thousands of $$$ is debt? Think previous generations would be foolish enough to lose a % of monthly earnings for something as useless as a texting cellphone? Or, in the words of Chris Rock - MOTHERFUCKING RING TONES.

Enjoy your teletubbies movie. Also - overanalysing and looking at the non existence “levels” in a children book is gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

lol, yes a useless degree. She has had 3 totally separate internships in college. writing and editing press releases for an engineering firm, working with a children's book publishing company, and working on a marketing team for a commercial real estate firm. She also has the option to use her teaching degree if she wants...

once again you fall back to nothing but stating something is gay, or immature when you have nothing to back it up except you, yourself thinking it is "gay" to do something.

I'm still waiting for a real answer, knowing you don't have an intelligible one to give. It is fun watching you talk in circles though. And rather ironic too, seeing as your posts have probably been the most immature in this thread.

Also, you do understand your lag shaver will net you zero $$$. By the time her "education" is paid, she will start shitting out kids.
