Ah the anti united circlejerk has begun. I love it. I hope he signs an extension too, that means he has probably won something. While Liverpool celebrate a pre season win over United. Small time club with small time fans, not surprising.

yeah I don't care about the preseason game. I would care if my prick manager insulted the fans, the youth players, the captain and some of the team's brightest talents. Guess that's just a small time club and small time fan type thing.

I suggest you read all of Jose's comments before spouting nonsense. Insult fans? I am in agreement with Jose, Americans are stupid as fuck to pay hundreds of dollars to watch a meaningless match.

His only complaint has been about signings. In which case I agree with our board. Jose has been given a lot of money and spent a lot on players. Now it's time to play them. I agree with Jose that we at least need a wing back but sell some Deadwood and get on with it. If he doesn't then he is gonna get sacked.

Too much noise right now given the lack of real football being played. It's hilarious how easy it is to start a circlejerk.

circle jerk circle jerk circle jerk

I read his entire comments man. Stuff about Martial was uncalled for. Regardless of if you agree about Yanks spending $$$, it's pretty insulting to tell the fans that did they wasted their money. Didn't expect you to actually be objective about anything re: United anyway though.

It's funny because my comment is actually quiet objective. Your view is basically black and white with no context. I clearly criticised Mou for wanting more players but he wants old players with no resale value. I agree with Uniteds board because Mou needs to be able to justify his spending. He's spent on two CBs now. While we may legitimately need one more he can't just stockpile them. People love to criticize Uniteds transfer policy and yet the board is showing it has a plan.

Regarding martial uncalled for? What is wrong with what he said? Literally said glad he has had a great baby and now that it's been born he should be back in training. Martial is being extremely unprofessional and I am happy to get rid now. Again how is that not being objective? I guess if Salah had a kid and flew home but refused to come back you would still suck his dick.

If I am getting paid millions to prepare and be ready for the new season then yes it is absolutely his responsibility to be back after 2-3 days. He is going to be back in Manchester in a week. United's situation right now is dire in terms of players still on vacation or hurt. Martial would have been a nailed on starter in the first few matches. He has cost himself that opportunity.

Stop comparing football to other professions. They are getting paid millions and have so much power in these days of commercialised football. Shows his lack of commitment and ambition. I understand needing to be there for the birth but now it's done, get back and do show how much you want to succeed. That is the very least Jose demands and I continue saying I love this part of Jose. Be committed or GTFO. Any great manager will demand that. I highly doubt Klopp would be happy with his player going back home and missing critical fitness/training. He may not say it publically but he certainly wouldn't be happy.

my man, almost the exact same situation happened with Clyne and they handled it differently. Clyne left the US and didn't come back and will wait to rejoin the team in France. Mourinho expected Martial to fly back.

Also, Henderson wanted to skip his holiday and Klopp wouldn't let him. You don't have to treat players like shit, even if they get paid millions.

Oh and btw what possible good does it do you to air this in the press? Seems like this could be something bw him and Martial/the team. Publicly lashing seems unlikely to be good for morale.

Just like insulting the fans, it you feel that way, fine, just keep it to yourself. Those fans buy jerseys and help find Mourinhos transfer budget, maybe a few may now hold off support while he is the manager.

Again I don't think you understand how dire the situation is with our first team right now.

Rojo, Pogba, Fellaini, Jones, Young, Rashford, Lingard, Lindelof, and Lukaku are all still out on vacation due to deep World Cup runs. 4 are nailed on starters and the rest are very important to our season. Jose hasn't complained about this BTW.

De Gea and Fred just joined the team. 5 starters and our best new signing missed most of pre season training with 10 days to prep. I can only see De Gea starting out of this group of players on day 1.

Valencia, Matic, Dalot and Bailly are all hurt and likely to miss the start of the season but maybe Bailly will be ok. 6 of our starting 11 are out and if Bailly can't go then 7. Their backups are also out (Fellaini, Dalot, Rash, Jones, Rojo, Lindelof and now Martial). Yes easy for Klopp to give Clyne and Henderson time off when most of your team is at pre season and training for match fitness but I suppose Jose has no right to be complaining when his squad is looking thin and not training together.

Continue believing the media agenda against United. I can see why Jose is frustrated. I don't agree with how he has gone about it but I can empathize. He is asking for his players to give more and his club to back him. All you will hear is complaints despite the fact that he ended his rant by saying if he doesn't get the players he wants then he will manage and fight with the players he does have. Never once got reported. Gotta love this though. Only United would get a clear agenda against them after one meaningless pre season match.

Yes actually I do want Martial sold if it means we can getsomeone like peresic or Willian. . His attitude is highly questionable and while I have no doubts he will go on to become a great player if he actually puts his mind to working hard I am not fussed about losing him anymore.

The media's vicious attacks on Jose by printing his direct quotes. How dare they.

All the preamble to say you empathize but don't agree with the tactics which is pretty much the whole point.

The whole point is its not black or white. Why can't there be a middle ground? You and I both know quotes can be manipulated by not presenting the whole story. Instead I see pool fans are happy to jump on board with the media and I can't blame you, the hate probably flows through you all the time.

Jose is putting pressure on the board by going public. I don't agree with it but he is basically shifting the blame. Its who he has always been and always will be so I don't get why people are surprised by this. He has a point as well. He sees pool and city strengthen their weaknesses and knows we aren't too far off if he can get at least a RW and a RB. FFS we have been playing with two converted wingers as RB/LB. This isn't Jose's fault and more so LVG's because both Darmian and Shaw have under performed. The board is afraid of spending large sums on players with no resale value and there basically isn't someone available in those positions that is reasonable and between 22-27.

I still think we sell Darmian, one of Rojo and Jones and get Alderwiereld. If we can add a RW on top of that it would have been a successful window. If that means we sell Martial to fund Perisic I am all for it.

I'm not sure why you think "surprise" is the emotion being expressed

I wonder if you would agree with this statement: "yea has a dick, but he's our dick and I'll live with it as long as he keeps winning/beating Liverpool" or something like that. If you don't, then fine, but if so just say that and those things can be much shorter and we can all move on with our lives.

I don't know shit about Fred but he cost more than all of Mane/Salah/Fabinho/Ox/Alisson/Keita/Firmino. The team that just set a shit ton of PL records just paid 60M for a DEPTH player that isn't guaranteed to start for them. Shitty Everton just spent 50M on Richarlisson. Fuck. outta. here. "

Do you always rate 19 year olds who sulk, go AWOL, and not be professional? Typical Liverpool fan succumbing to the whims of the player. United is bigger than an individual. You love piling on the pressure for united but with that pressure comes different demands and the player better be ready to give everything. Martial has burned his bridge. It's hilarious to me that a pool fans who openly admits to only watching united twice has such a strong opinion about a player he rarely sees playing.

Funny that. The anti Mourinho circle jerk is so hilarious. Anything that shows him and united in a negative light you willove, unsurprising amount of bias.

Aw clearly hit a nerve here. So obsessed with hating united. The genius article posted which I doubt anyone here actually read beyond the headline says:

Quote :
"For example: in Liverpool's 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield on 14 October, the study concluded Jurgen Klopp's side should have been awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute, and the new simulated scoreline was a 1-0 victory for the home side."

That's exactly how football works, teams stop playing after being 1-0 down. Guess United were lucky to win the treble because statistically we shouldn't have beaten Arsenal in the semi's of the FA cup and scored two 90th min goals to beat Bayern in the final. Love how delusional pool fans are.

^^I think your primary mistake is using a statistic/analysis like that as a judgment of past teams rather than a tool to assist future performance predictions. At the end of the day maybe United were "lucky" last season and during that treble, just like Liverpool were "lucky" to get a "favorable" champions league draw, but who cares? Unless you win something in a dominating fashion, luck is likely to have played a part. Especially in soccer when victory margins are so thin.

On the other hand if multiple statistics show a team over and under performed in certain luck based statistics (like, in football, fumble recovery rate or record in one score games) then your prediction for that team next season should maybe assume that will correct towards the mean. Now of course, luck doesn't definitely work that team by team, gamblers fallacy and such, but over large sample sizes it tends to work out.

Great to know. Just goes to show you can't objectively talk about United or any other team for that matter. Not one positive thing said about United on this forum ever. Hilarious considering how complimentary I have actually been when looking at the current situation in football. You hate me because I don't go along with your BS narrative, perfectly fine with me.

So is United lucky or we simply rely on De Gea too much? Can't have it both ways. The Einsteins of TWW can't make up their mind. Actually that's not true. You all agree on one thing, United finished 2nd because of sheer luck and maybe a world class goalie. Can't be possible that they were actually good and better than the teams below them, nah absolutely not possible.

As I said all I am seeing here is constant bashing about united. Rich that you don't think I am being rational in the face of constant hate.

It's always united is lucky that. United would be relegation fodder without De Gea. It's as if you have watched united win so much that you can't rationalize it any other way. It's the same kind of hate the Patriots get in the US since the ppl on here will understand an NFL reference much more.

You would think last year united finished 10th and not 2nd. Love the media narrative this pre season as well and the BS Jose third season myth. As I said, there is a lot of talk. I am happy for Liverpool to take the pressure but I highly doubt they get even half the BS we deal with every year if they fail to deliver a league title.

Go ahead, show me where I am being irrational. The fact that an article legitimately discussing luck as a factor in a teams league finish says all I need to know about the absurdity of the pool fans on here.

Plus I love arguing with you lot. Can't ever acknowledge when you're wrong and live in this little bubble. Kills my downtime at work. Thanks lads.

I actually would say the same order top 6 but then a different bottom 3.

City, LFC, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal, United

Brighton, Cardiff, Newcastle

Daniel Levy sucks. It seriously blows my mind that we couldn't get a single piece of business done in 2+ months. I don't understand how he can see the team this close to the goal and not show the ambition needed to take the next step. It turned a whirlwind of excitement around the team and new stadium into fanbase that's eating itself and general feeling of negativity around all facets of the club.
