So after teasing Rey as a villainess in the last trailer, this one tries to drum up all the feels and shows nothing but her fight against evil. Somehow I doubt Disney would dare have the series end with Rey turning to the dark side.

And I'm not ashamed to admit I got chills when 3PO said his line about seeing you one last time.

it's hollywood, man, nobody is gonna care if their cloning process isn't theoretically legit. None of their stuff is even remotely close to being scientifically accurate anyway.

You ever heard of time dilation? Even if "light speed" were possible in this galaxy, they wouldn't be able to zip and zap around the galaxy without observing significant lapses in time relative to their initial point of departure.

And they certainly wouldn't be able to fly the falcon in space like an F22 on a canyon run.

So, no pencil pusher is gonna reject that idea of cloning based on science, let's be real here. Our current society is as misinformed on science as they are about learning a second language. Nobody gives a shit.

That is not an "idea of cloning". Cloning is specifically making a genetically identical copy. Making a "female Anakin" would just be making a genetically engineered being, not a clone. I guess you could make one and then clone that one, but even in that case that being is in no way a female Anakin clone.

I give a shit because it bothers when people talk about cloning and have no goddamn clue what they are talking about.

Why? The prequels were shitty because of his direction and reliance on the green screen. However, the story arc behind Anakin's turn to the dark side, and the overall downfall of the Jedi, was compelling.

What do we have for compelling, creative story lines in the JJ era? Nothing. Everything is more or less just lifted from the original films. The Rise of Skywalker will be no different.

Just rewatched TFA, and I still think it was very entertaining. Sure it's a rehash of ANH, but (and it has been said many times before) maybe that's what we needed to grab a new generation of Star Wars fans. The Last Jedi seems to get a little worse with every rewatch. I think they can redeem the series with Rise of Skywalker, and I'm ok if they channel some of the energy ideas from Return, as long as they don't have Ewoks return.
