Arsenal and arteta are shit, no discipline. Half the first team starting lineup out with covid in August 2021. Rumors they got it at a party for Abameyangs son. Next games v Chelsea and man city. Ben white latest to test positive

Arsenal need to bite the bullet and admit Arteta is a failure. He will never be good enough.

Match Week 3 Game of the Week

Liverpool v Chelsea

Big early season test for both clubs as both have looked dominant against inferior competition.

I'm going to be at a wedding in Atlanta Saturday. Does anyone know where to catch the Pool match with a Liverpool crowd?

Fado Irish Pub thats where all the big supporters clubs meet, Atlanta Blues meet there I know. Hudson Grill used to be big for Soccer as well (not sure if they are open anymore).

I don't go anymore since I moved further north from Atlanta so I watch on my couch now.

Dismal week so far for City. The Kane bid failed, and Pep announced he's heading for the exits in 2023. Landing Ronaldo, despite his age, would be a huge offensive boost and a hilarious Man U troll.

Citeh were never going to meet Levy's valuation of Kane. They signed Grealish who is younger for a large sum they weren't going to break the English Transfer record a 2nd time in same window.

Only clubs that would meet that valuation would be PSG, Real Madrid, and Chelsea (if Lukaku bid failed). However the window is still open so its not impossible for him or Haaland to move, just extremely unlikely either will move.

I am not shocked by Pep news, he gets bored staying in one place for so long, leaving after World Cup makes me think his next move is National team management.

Interesting move. Got to assume Martial will be moved either now or in next window, and possibly Lingard as well. Also wonder on change room dynamic with Bruno now being 2nd fiddle behind his fellow countryman.

Will definitely mean PL winner will be a very competitive 4 team race.

So how can you make a decision only on a still frame from one angle unless the VAR official (Chris Cavanaugh) had pretty much convinced Anthony Taylor to make that call. I know a lot of Chelsea fans are mad at Taylor but they seem to have let Chris Cavanaugh escape their ire. As the pundits say his arm coming forward is probably what sealed it, but in slow motion and still images it looked worse.

Thankfully Chelsea have a strong defense and were able to salvage a point at Anfield which with fans is an extremely tough venue to play. However, Liverpools defense kept it from being 2 or 3 nil Chelsea prior to the end of first half. It was a good game that could have gone sideways for Chelsea quickly.

ArsenLOL look like a League 1 side they are abysmal. Xhaka with his trade mark sending off in first half after signing a new long term contract was just ::Chef's Kiss::

Tough red card for Reece James with the ball deflecting off of his thigh. I wish there was a gray area where the ref can award a penalty without a red card. But thems the rules for now I guess.

Holding on for a draw with 10 men for an entire half felt like a win.

We are not good. We could have easily lost that match even up a man. Chelsea looked to be at a different level than Pool almost all day.

So Transfer Window is now shut.

Here are the big spenders this summer:-

- Arsenal - £156.8M
- Manchester United - £133.7M
- Manchester City - £100M
- Chelsea - £97.5M
- Aston Villa - £93M
- West Ham - £63.3M

I would gather Liverpool supporters will point to this in dismay if the season goes sideways or with shear glee if they play like they did pre Pandemic.

LOL at Arsenal spending all that money.

I don't think Ronaldo will have the impact a lot of Man United fans think. He is one of the GOAT's but the PL is not Serie A or La Liga and he is 36. He will score goals and perhaps some important goals but they still have OGS as their manager.

Nasty challenge on Elliott don't think it was intentional but wow thats a definite 3 match ban and Elliott with a similar injury to Everton's Gomes a few seasons ago he was out 112 days.

Spurs can win without Kane but they can't win without Son.

I tried watching the ManU-Newcastle match but I swear I thought the match commentators were going to run on the pitch and suck Ronaldo off.

Chelsea looked like shit for the first 45 against Villa and still ended up winning 3-0. September is going to test Chelsea's mettle with matches against Zenit, Spurs, Villa (League Cup), City, and Juventus.

I guess it may show if Chelsea is truly in that top class or not. Chelsea should be major favorites in 4 of those games.

Given United's schedule they really should be perfect on season. Combined points of their opponents through 4 matches is 9.

Liverpool: 14* (Burnley is currently goalless with Everton)

City: 18

Chelsea: 22

North London Derby next weekend where inexplicably Arsenal can pass Spurs on points.

Chelsea and Liverpool look truly dominant at this point in season. City and United aren't far behind.

Chelsea has yet to concede from open play this season. Liverpool and City have each also only conceded 1 goal.

Big Derby on Saturday as Chelsea and City clash at the Bridge, a Chelsea win could see them go 6 points clear of a title rival, and keep the pressure on Liverpool and United.

Advanced stats still put city as best in the world, but that was also true when Chelsea beat them a few months ago.

Top of the Table and last undefeated!

But!

Liverpool need to shit their shit together in the next week. Couldn't handle direct balls to a pair of strikers. Brentford keeper had so many passes that cut out half the defense. I guess at least City plays way different.

Also lol at the status or arsenal and Spurs now vs a month ago

^^what surprise that you only appear when City wins

It was obvious Pep wanted this game and it had probably been circled all year. Congrats Tuchel finally got his tactics wrong against Pep. Part of that was probably the injury to Mason as he would have absolutely started if he was fit. I don't think we should start Kante, Kovacic, and Jorginho, especially playing Kante in an attacking role, he wasn't awful but you limited his ability in the role he was asked to play. Kudos to Jesus for his goal that was cheeky finish and was enough for the 3 points. Disappointed but the season isn't over and hopefully we get revenge at the Etihad later this season. On to a shorthanded Juve this week.

Whats going to be funny is Brighton could be top of the table if they beat Palace today.

I remember some book in middle school talking about hunting/trapping raccoons by putting something shiny/food somewhere behind a hole big enough to fit a hand but not a fist, then they are trapped bc they refuse to let go? I don't know, typing it out it sounds like nonsense, but anyway that's the Spurs chairman. He's trapped but won't let go of his shiny prize

^Where the Red Fern Grows is the book

Yeah Kane is playing like shit and it will mean they will have to sell January window and will get less than they were offered this past window.

Of course Spurs fans are blaming it all on Nuno and they want him out. Except he was the only one who would take the job. But I guess its a race between Spurs and United to see who can acquire Conte's services.

Definitely the preferred result for Chelsea keeps them top of the table for now. The Salah goal was amazing.

City IMO are still the ones to beat and they have played there 2 toughest league matches already with a win and a draw. If they sign a true #9 in the January window they will be hard to stop.

Chelsea have a tough one (can't believe I am say that) coming back from break away at Brentford. Hopefully Pulisic and Reece will be healthy. Silva has already been ruled out as he travels to Brazil and will have to quarantine when he comes back.

VAR still sucks and if Martin Atkinson didn't call it a foul VAR shouldn't go back, there were 2 crosses before the goal, and it was pouring. Thankfully the 3 points were secured but that was a pretty tough VAR decision against us that was a soft foul anyways that the refs are supposedly not calling this season. In closing Fuck Mike Dean and Martin Atkinson.

You should have been down to 10 before the Salah goal. You were outplayed for most of the 1st Half outside the first 5-10 minutes. City are a rock solid defensive team, if they could finish more they would probably run away with the league this season, but their lack of finishing will benefit the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool, and maybe even United.
