Bullshit. Blizzard has been ignoring Engineering forever. Been a long time since there has been any sort of new schematic. They can craft one good gun and one good scope, though the scope costs like 300g and is near obsolete due to all the +hit gear most hunters already have. They have one decent consumable which can be given to others which is only good in PvP. PvE usage is limited to a few items.

So Engineering is a PvP profession. Now, they create a new battle arena for PvP that will have ALL the best gear, and engineering is NOT allowed. Not only are engineering consumables not allowed, but some of the GEAR isn't either. How about we not allow the special mage, lock, and priest chests that can be only made through tailoring? How about the warrior charm from blacksmithing that makes you immune to fear? Lets get rid of that bullshit.

So on and so forth. Blizzard once again will make a policy, and enforce it only on engineers.

once again. no nerf ill politely disagree.

there is nowhere that you could use engineering before (hello im an engineer ) that you cant now. yes they have nerfed it in the past (MC rap recently etc). but the whole POINT of this arena was to give ONE place where pure gear was the only advantage. no pots, no other gay crap etc. this is something they needed. no gay flags. no outside help. no advantage from blowing all your gold on pots to hide behind poor playing abilities.

it helps lower the standards of the people that do nothing but rely on FAP in wsg, and titan flasks etc.

you can still use your engineering in all the world pvp, old bgs, new bgs.

i dont see any problem with this still. it is NO more of a "nerf" to engineers as it is alchemists or herbalism whose profession based outputs cant be used here (no pots). other than that "only enforce it on engineering" who else would they enforce it on?

think about how meaningless of arena battles. since you dont have to play all day like the old honor system you could always all wait until your team cooldowns were all down on your engineering trinkest before every arena match and GG. Be garaunteed a LOT of wins that have nothing to do with skill. those crafted items dont bother me really as they arent AS game changing imo. if a warrior wears that charm he is a retard.

even tho this wont be PERFECT it is as close to as level as you can get in a gear based game. i have no recklessness but so what. itd be overpowered in this setting

World PvP died when BG's came out. BG's die when new PvP stuff comes out. Hmm, new WSG leggings come out . . . 12 AB games up at once all day become 1 game every 2 hours. This Arena will kill BG's for a good long while, mark my word.

maybe you server :p i dono. the past month or so has been slow but we've still had some massive world pvp here. some organized some not

im talking about the expansion. with what looks to be promising world pvp in every zone and that neutral town sounds interesting too. with some bgs taking place in caverns of time. i plan to do them all

just because the helm goes on your head its considered a profession item. dont be nitpicky. its the fact that it has a cooldown > 15 mins on it that really makes it illegal. i have recklessness which i love. and i cant use that but i dont care. and in most cases that warrior is still a retard. if you need a charm to break a warlock fear or priest you need to L2P because warriors have anywhere from 1-3 fear breakers.

im not even fury(ie 1 fear breaker) and i NEVER have a problem with fears in a BG (even solo without tremor totems) unless im up against you know 2 locks or 2 priests at hte same time. and its not worth it to take up a trinket slot to anticipate the small chance of that.

if youre fury you have 2 ways to break fear then and if you are undead fury you have 3.

getting rid of the hwl stuff and then making it so with arena pvp you can come to 1/3 matches and get full honor will most definitely kill bgs. on the plus side, there will always be a minority of people that like whatever bg in whatever level bracket across the 12 servers in your battlegroup and there will always be a game up.

i think the best is when i came up on 2 60 mages (crappy geared but 60) camping a couple level 35s in STV. im sure they thought they were tough. i camped both of them for a good 30 mins until they spirit rezzed.

i mean they were bad. getting back at other ppl picking on lowbies is fun.

Well yeah, the goal is always to get their friends to show up and start shit. Before battlegrounds came out, about the only way to get any decent PVP going was to attack places like Darkshire and Lakeshire and get lowbies to bitch and whine until their high level friends showed up.

you know how when you put your cursor on somebody and that little window pops up in the bottom right? i had a mod that made that window pop up over the person i was pointing at instead of in the corner, and now its gone back to being in the bottom corner. i dont know what mod it was that was causing it to show up in the middle of the screen, but i hate it being down in the corner. any ideas on how to fix this terrible situation?

Sunday night in the middle of Strat Live I hit 60 on my mage (my fourth 60) with a /played of 10days 5hours. By that time I was already atuned to MC and BWL and had already done Jailbreak. The following morning I got into a Scholo group and nabbed Magisters Shoulders, Magisters Gloves (that I already bought so I sold these to make back my money), Magisters Crown and last but not least the Headmaster's Charge. OMFG. It was like Christmas time. Right after that I participated in a guild UBRS to get my Drakk's blood and get my Ony key. That night I was lucky enough to be the only mage alt in Ony and the Netherwind Crown dropped..... So I went from hitting level 60 and less than 24 hours later having my tier 2 helm. After that we did AQ20 where I got a blue bracer upgrade and the Fireball book. The good thing is that I didn't take something from anyone else. It was really a lot of good fortune. Now I just get to farm up the $Texas for another epic mount. Blah.
