I know I can QQ more, but our server (Medivh) is down for a 36 hour overhaul and tonight is BWL night. Ugh. 24 more hours to go. I thought about just screwing around with something on another server, but it is pretty pointless since I will probably never play it again.

C'thun down for the guild im helping lead now. my old guild sorta split about 6 weeks ago ago in the middle of naxx and done with aq40 for awhile. so i went back and joined a guild with a bunch of old friends who were farther behind (on sartura) in pve progression.

downed fankriss, huhu, twin emps, cthun in the last 6 weeks only 5 days of attempts on c'thun. was nice to finally get back to downing him again. deathsting on our first kill

Here's some funny news. About two weeks ago I got kicked my from my guild for exchanging words with an officer. Basically he wouldn't stop bitching about why people were not showing up and at about the 20 minute mark he goes on to how people are never repaired, why should he have to build repair bots all the time for this crap and why can't healers do their job blah blah.

So I told him the reason people don't show up is because he whines more than a fat bitch without chocolate, and explained that people don't come to raids to be bitched at. They come for fun and to enjoy themselves and accomplish things. He told me to shut my mouth because I didn't know anything and I politely told him to go fuck himself. /kicked

Not a big deal. The guild was ain a decline... we couldn't even get 30 people on let alone 40. So I happily go pvp and such which was nice and was picked up by the 3rd ranked guild because the GM hated me being in all his pvp guild groups and not being in the guild.

So three days ago I find out that Syndrome had a huge weeding out right after I left. They kicked 60% of the guild (anyone who played less than 6 days a week and had less than a 90%) and imported 15 people from another server to Syndrome.

Now, that seems pretty fucked up to me. It's still ironic that they can't get more than 35 people on still.

Anyone have shit like this happen on their servers?

We just kind of did that. We've been carrying dead weight around for months, and it's not letting us progress on patchwerk or maexxna or c'thun. So impulsively some of our best members quit the guild last night to reform as a guild that actually wants to progress. The officers were carebears and too pussy to do anything about people not listening or getting better.

You can blame everything on healers. Sometimes the tanks just get crit like hell.

bleh we cleared 10 bosses in naxx on tuesday and didnt touch the lock at all on wednesday

any guilds that did touch their lock on wednesday got the lock reset with the 36 hour server maintence.

It's not the rogue's, mage's, warlock's, or hunter's fault. They just sit there and nuke single targets. Occassionally they have to do some cc, but other than that, it's fairly one dimensional. So, by process of elimination, you can safely blame the priest, paladin, druid, and warrior (three of which are healers).

In my experience, most of the wipes while learning an encounter can be attributed to the tanks. They're the ones who have to learn placement, transisions, etc. moreso than dps/healing.

However, once an encounter is being farmed, it's almost always the dps that causes wipes. Either by stealing aggro and getting the raid cleaved/breathed on or by letting adds decimate the raid on fights like fankriss/emps/cthun.

GET BETTER TANKS.

Any tank worth a shit does not get crit spiked... ever. The worst you will see is unbalancing + upper cut on a twin emps pull.

Dead tanks are healers fault unless your tanks are brain dead. Only via over aggro can it be a mage/lock/hunter/rogues/furies fault, if you are allaince and that happens, its still your tanks fault (BoS ftw). There are dps checks that are thier fault, but those really dont exist till later in the endgame. (Sartura is the first one i can think of, and i have never seen her big enrage, shes always dead plenty fast (not counting the 3 attempts to learn the pull)

... no, not really, if it 1 shots your tanks, leave naxx (or atleast abom wing) and get better gear. if a 9k+ hp warth/dn tank dies to HS, it IS the healers fault. Infact, the only time PW wipes arent a healer problem is if you hit the timed enrage, or your tanks arent geared enough for it.

HS is about the most predictable flat damage, just becuase its LARGE numbers does not maek it a damage spike, it is just consistant large hits at pretty much set intervals (not counting avoidance streaks)
