No idea if you can level solely based on disenchanting, haven't tried. I doubt it though.

You will level slower from 60-70...but by mid-60's you'll be competitive and start leveling at a similar rate. The blues/greens coming out of the Outlands blow away Molten Core drops and are even upgrades for tier 2. Early AQ40 loot may last you to level 70. Late AQ40 and Naxx drops will be solid blue/green quality at 70.

My main concern about the world pvp is how large scale battles will play out. During alpha, the best we'd get was about 5v5 because the population was so small. The idea of taking/defending the city is awesome in concept, but we never had to deal with attacks on more than one side or anything of that sort. Most people will not get involved in Nagrand until level 65 so it'll be a week at least before we have any real feedback.

The first world pvp that we'll see on a large scale will be the Hellfire stuff. Three areas, EPL style, much closer together. Kill people to get tokens to turn in for pretty good rewards. Control all three to get a zone wide 5% damage buff. (That buff is pretty much the same in each zone)

k, so i hit 60 in late august - joined a pretty easy going raiding guild that only does MC and ony once a week. have picked up 4 NS pieces and a perditions blade so far. can't complain. we're doing our first BWL run tommorrow. yes, i know that's nothing to you guys, but i'm stoked. any advice for a rogue?

As for the 4h, get 8 warriors. wear a mix of dreadnaught (4/9) and fire resist on the ones doing thane/mograine. and just dreadnuat on blowme and zelik. rotate, repeat. Make sure oytu have meator soaks for thane. Kill mograine/thane first, then blowme and finally just a nice slow rotation to drop zeliek.

burned 4 mana pots, 4 night dragons, 1 frost res. pot, 1 mageblood, 1 sagefish, and brilliant mana oil, and I still bout ran out of mana at the end healing.

that fight is really taxing on us healers. 2 rep tokens are nice though, hit revered.

everything ive been hearing about the arenas since day 1 has me really excited about them. and the gear available through PVP in BC really makes me happy. Blizzard has been saying through release they wanted pvp to be a viable option to get gear from without raiding and same for pve without pvp. and up until now hte pvp rewards were very limited and pigeonholed and not as diverse as pve.

now in the expansion theres tons of gems, offeset items such as bracers belts and gloves, more than 1 full epic pvp set, a plethera of weapons, good rings, good trinkets, good cloaks, etc all available from pvp. AND they said they plan to continually release and update items to scale with the pve content. im excited.

They did a number on the druid talent trees, switched a few things around and combined a few. Nothing that will make them spectacular in raiding, but huge improvement for pvp and small scale pve.

Our horde premade on Emerald Dream has been tearing ass recently, so we decided to have some fun with the next pug. We hid our entire team in the farm house and waited til they 5 capped. Then we all just storm out and spam "SHACK SURPRISE" and kill them all. We ended up 5 capping them, and I think the shack surprise was frapsed too.

go 18-33 with sword spec and make sinister strike and evis your main attacks. put the dagger on the offhand. you can also try a build I experimented with that I found to be an AWESOME hybrid. 30-21 (sealfate/blade flurry) or 29-22 (4/5 seal fate, blade flurry, and riposte). Sinister strike and evis are still your main attacks, but you get a fuckton of combo points to add on bleed damage in between evis's while maintaining SnD

I'm still toying around with it - I am a rogue, btw. I went ahead and got exalted with AV and picked up the lobotomizer right after I grabbed the brutality blade - I'm thinkin I may stick with combat daggers and use those 2 daggers until I have another sword drop.........not sure yet

and even if I did get a sword drop, i feel weird having such a slow ass offhand weapon
