I used to be SF daggers pre 1.12 but now combat is the way to go. I am still using Perds/CHT with 6/8 BF and I am always in the top 3 unless we have a garbage night and I die a lot. The good thing about going combat is I have legitimate case for wanting Iblis when it drops. Plus it looks sweet.

Pretty much true. WoW can be just as dangerous an addiction as any other kind of substance abuse - but it's cheaper and it's easier to drop when you decide to. Particularly if you let yourself get sucked into a leadership role, like that guy did.

As in every area of life, self-control is vital or you can ruin yourself. Too much working, too much drinking, too much WoW - all negatives, though they can "feel right" at the time.

On another note, HELL YEAH to the new Warrior changes, I'm excited about playing mine again in the expansion.

im really loving the new arms tree. ive been an Arms focused warrior since i started the game. its funny how the warrior boards are so wishy washy. for so long it was "OMG MS" and then the same people were "OMG FURY".

i still stand strong that Arms is hands down the best PVP spec, and i continue to think so with the new review

As a seal fate rogue I wouldn't have any of the combat talents like weapon expertise that make using both a sword and dagger viable options. Right now I am 5/5 dagger specialization but I may go 3/5 dagger and 2/5 sword. I have also talked to the combat sword rogues (all two of them) and they are fine with it since they have access to CTS and Maladath.

probably the reason we wiped at that first boss 4 times before we killed him

true or bullshit?"

"Listen to me, right now: if this game is ruining your life, stop playing. If your girlfriend is telling you to choose between her and WoW, choose her, you idiot. If you're about to lose your job because you play this game too much, stop playing this game. It's a game. It's not responsible for any of the stuff that happened to this blogger-- he is.

We've heard the arguments he makes before-- blah blah blah, the game is addictive, it becomes an obsession, Blizzard is rewarding farming and time investment instead of skill. And all those things are true, to a degree. But coffee is addictive, too, and so is smoking, and so is alcohol. Is it beer's fault that college students do stupid things on the weekend? Of course not-- it's the students' fault for drinking too much beer. And if this guy is overweight, girlfriendless, and a loser, it's his fault, not the game. WoW is just that-- a game. Shame on him for forgetting that when most of the seven million other players don't seem to have a problem with it.

And the worst part of the article is the sheer arrogance and snobbery that comes along with it. The piece itself is called "A View from the Top" (as if he's trying to brag how awesome he was ingame before he realized he was clearly playing too much). He brags about writing "actual mathematical proofs that allowed for fair and effective (yes, both) raid distribution according to efficiency, speed, and guild class population" when even his own guildies told him not to do it. And at times, you just feel like he's got to be making things up-- children "forced to play and grind for their parents"? What idiot parents would ever do that? Shouldn't he have given DCFS a call? And after having the nerve to "help" guildies who didn't want it, he's distraught that they left him behind without even a wave goodbye-- as if the whole guild should stop raiding because he quit the game.

Finally, he's so smug about quitting, as if it's a mark of honor that he was able to "fix" his life and get away from WoW. If you want to quit the game, fine. If you choose to stop playing because you can't handle dividing your work and play, great, more power to you. But don't take it as a point of pride that you were able to step away from the game-- you lost that when you chose to play the game too much in the first place. Even after you've quit, it's not the game's fault that you couldn't make good choices about what to do with your time. You're not better than the people still playing because you were able to "escape the terrible WoW monster." If anything, they're more stable than you are, because they were able to play the game without problems, and you couldn't.

If you play the game too much, it's your problem-- not your guildies for "forcing" you to play, not Blizzard for making an addictive game, and not the other players for pushing you to raid for epix. You made the mistake-- not to play the game (that's not a mistake at all), but to play too much. Accept a little responsibility for it."

Demology is starting to look hot. Maybe I recently missed things changed, but the pet intellect talent also increases the warlocks mana, the melee damage talent increases the warlocks melee damage, and the talent to increase all damage by 5% also decreases all damage done to pets by 15%.

Felguard + SL might not be so terrible right now .

Edit: Does anyone know how the new PvP system will work with the old on in the expansion? I want to do some more city raids b/f BC comes out and was wondering the penalty of current DK's when they roll over. Also, what exactly happens to your current rank? I read some stuff earlier, but it was rather vague.

I'd argue that one.

If you are playing 30 hours a week and she tells you to pick, you might have a problem. If you are playing 10-15 hours a week and she wants you to pick, she's to damn needy or she just doesnt get you.

no rank carries over. go get DKs all you want. you will have the OPTION of displaying your highest achieved rank with the current system but other than that nothing at all is transfering over. there arent even individual ranks in BC

would anyone be interested in a private-ish server of pure pvp?

I was thinking of making a system where you sign up on a forum, you get 1000 points. You use the points buy gear. Everyone would be able to buy a full set of non-level 60 gear. From then on if you log atleast an hour a week, you get some amount of points. You can use the points to buy enchants, save them to buy smallish upgrades for instant gratification, or save them for a while to buy t1, t2, t3, etc. No more raiding with retards, no more farming unless you want to craft gear and such. People could level chars normally if they wanted but I'd be generating lvl 60s for people. I also thought about giving everyone 1 lvl 60 that was equipped with the best gear possible. The main idea is to just have an equal starting ground and not require large amounts of time to have satisfying pvp where you aren't gear eclipsed. For me atleast, the best part of wow is getting on vent with your friends and owning the shit out of people in pvp. Also, I'd be able to up droprates and we could raid occasionally for fun and to see the new content. I've already started setting up BC on the emulator.

I've got a spare domain name, web hosting, and probably a place to colocate the machine, I'd just need ram and probably faster hard drives. It would spread via word of mouth I guess and would grow to the machines capacity until I got donations and such since I know no one will want to pay.

If anyone is interested or has any ideas as far as coming up with a system, moderating this, etc, shoot me a tell or an im.

hate@bleak, I'm still using the jindo staff

Most recent Regalia went to Jalwell our Shadow Priest last night :*( He's the good kind of Shadow Priest though, only DPSes on the fights he knows he can sustain decent damage without OOMing and doesn't have a problem healing when he can't.

Enhancement is so passe, you haven't seen PK running around with an Acolyte Staff or Froo with his Staff of the Shadow Flame, have you

Have you done much PvP healing on your Druid btw? Pondering a reroll, Paladin is the obvious choice but there's some appeal in a stealthing healer too.

druids are retarded good at pvp healing. I'm just not really excited by it. although I'll probably make an arena team with me shadow and demlou on his shaman. druid warrior shaman should be nasty. I can keep both of them up, and all 3 will have access to the best gear in the game.

I always enjoyed elemental better. but back then I was the only elemental shaman basically on the server while lokklyn juro and the other "popular" shaman were endoctrinatingthe server in the ways of enhancement.

I never really had great gear for it. but I murdered quite a few folk with 2500 chain lightning crits

It is getting close, but I don't see Vivendi letting Blizzard delay it until after Christmas unless something is seriously wrong with it. Plus they're not adding a new class so most of the testing is for balancing and hopefully simple bugs.
