Yeah, he surprised with a poison which put a casting time on my insta-cast AE. Apparently if a spell becomes insta-cast through a talent, an effect like that more or less negates the talent, wheras normal insta-cast spells aren't affected. The 3rd time we dueled, it was still close, but I did beat him. Of course, all 3 times we dueled I'd forgotten to use mana shield which probably would have made a difference. All this is moot though, the most powerfull 1v1 dueling class in the game are shadow priests, bar none. PW:Shield, DOT, fear, mind flay, mind flay, good night (if you're caster, throw a silence somewhere in there). The only class that has a chance are undead rogues because of WoF. Fire mages are nice Stim, but a well played rogue will beat you every time (not too mention a shadow priest or shaman, good christ they whip us around). All they have to do is gouge you after the opening cheapshot, before you blink. You'll still blink, but you'll take the gouge with you. Then they can dash to you before gouge wears off. Cheapshot again, evis coldblood. If you manage to frost nova them, they can still vanish out of it and stun lock you again. I think frost mages are better off in 1v1 because we actually some defense to fall back on if our initial front loaded dmg fails to kill someone (or the afformentioned rogue tactic is used).

Last night I dreamed I was living with my boyfriend and a couple other girls in a cottage in a tree.... but one night some horde came stomping thru and wrecked everything... I jumped out a window and used feline grace or something to slow the fall. I called the police and they came, but by then the horde had gone thru an instance in our closet, so we had to wait for them to come out.....

Priests ain't no thang, I am a UD (wotf) Mage, who actually knows how to use counterspell.

Rogues can be difficult to beat, but I lose to more high lvl hunters than rogues. I don't have to divide my polys with a rogue, but I do with a hunter. Locks are a whole different bag of tricks.

Well, with a pack full of soulshards and stones lined up I can take a hefty beating from both mages and priests. They really stand no chance when I'm prepped, regardless of how many pots they use or which spells they cast.

However, Warlocks are entirely and unquestionably useless without soulshards on our own and we have the biggest downtime of any class in the game. After a duel or battle, we have to restock soulshards and wait for the timers on healthstones, spellstones, and soulstones; each of which take a soulshard. Then cast a pet, and go restock soulshards again.

I suppose in the long run that makes my class the most gimped castor class. Deal immense damage and death utterly raping opponents for a good ten minutes, then run away to recoup for 30.

I mean its pretty sad sometimes how weak we can get after a battle.

hit level 25 last night right before i went to bed. already up to 28/34 k into 25. so i should hit 26 tonight if i get to play more . most XP ive gotten in a span of 24 hours i think. its been about 33k since 8oclock last night. that might not be a ton overall but thats a ton for me cuz i dont get to play long hours straight usually

This is from a while ago... but I have to say, I love the witchdoctor in Sen'Jin.



I'm currently having a LOT of fun being in places I don't belong... like LBRS. I'm level 50. My guild was working on getting a key to UBRS, so they were raiding, and didn't mind having a level 50 tag along... especially since I can heal. I got a couple of druid blue items, and several greens. Sometimes the lack of druids is a good thing... Now I just have to hit 54 so I can start wearing this stuff that I"m picking up.

I've also started to assemble a feral equipment set... Dire Bear is one of my favorite soloing tools right now, even though I'm primarily Restoration specced. I have 52.4% DR as Dire Bear... DPS sucks, but it sucks all the time for a druid.

I saw a lvl 60 warrior today who had a combined +70 to defense skill from his equipment.

STV is really really annoying, I can't wait to finish all these lame ass quests.

For each quest I complete, I kill like.... 10 alliance along the way.

I killed two 40 Pally's, one 40 Mage, one 42 Warrior, and one 38 hunter on my way to GG from BB. I am a level 38 Mage. That is unacceptable, lol.

Then the mounted ??? squad comes to hunt me down from BB and spit on my corpse. There was like seven of them... Like that affects my morale in the slightest.

I love dueling mages though. There is nothing better then out playing a Mage that is higher level than me.

I counterspelled "Necrome's" polymorph from the beginning, and homie stood there for 5 seconds bewildered, like he had never been counterspelled before. I laughed at him with emote as I cast fireball. He could of easily counterspelled my fb, but he was simply too worried about being outplayed by a lower level Mage. He ran at me and novaed, *tsk tsk* what a noob, that doesn't interrupt my spell dude. Then I blinked behind him, fireblasted/cold of cone/scorch/fireball/AM. Then he drank a potion, but I polyed, used my mana agate and first aid, and continued to school him in the ways of magery, lol. He came back and tried to jump me again after I killed him, while I was killing a shadowmaw panther, didn't work... I Polyed/Killed the panther/First aid and mana agate/pyro/fireblast/scorch/clearcasting/counterspell/fireball/fireball/fireblast -> UuUugGGhhh. I love killing gnomes.

Something everyone should realize when fighting a mage and drinking a potion, is that a good Mage will polymorph you immediately after drinking a potion. If he doesn't, he sucks at PvP. Since poly heals the target's health back to full regardless, your potions are deemed utterly wasted and pointless. So if you are a healing class, wait to use your potions as the last resort, not the first. Because once I know your potion cooldown is on a timer, I can simply counterspell any healing spell you cast until you die from my immense fire damage.
