Does anyone know about DW fury warriors?


I'm having a tough time deciding which GM weapon I'm going to get. I've definitely heard a lot of mixed opinions and now I guess I need to take into consideration the weapons that are dropping in beta 61-70.

Do I mainhand Thunderfury and Offhand the swiftblade?

Or offhand TF and MH the GM Longsword. I know TF is the best offhand in the game, but it's also 70-80DPS in the mainhand with the proc.

I'll probably start raiding again when the EXP hits, so I'm considering TF/Swiftblade for insane speed with flurry up all the time.

tf is garbage for dps, mh something OTHER than the GM longsword so you don't look like generic alliance warrior #35934

youre mainly spending all your rage on heroic striking til execute spam, at 12 rage a swing, it's much better to have a nice slow 1h, else you'd dump all your rage in a heartbeat on nothing but heroics and never have the rage to bloodthirst/ww. Also, with a slow 1h, and your future shamans, when WF procs, it's white dmg, so the more rage you'll get from that.

slower is better, no TF warrior could match my dps, the proc is garbage for dps, only good for the debuff imo

dw shaman aren't even close in pve dps

they can burst dps but are limited by mana as well as downtime for dropping totems/potential heals etc

even so, i'd seriously hope a hybrid class would never be able to(given similar gear strengths of gear) be able to out dps a class designed for dps(i.e. rogues/mages)

i as a warrior should not be able to out dps rogues/mages....as it stands now, I usually cannot out dps mages on fights where aggro isnt an issue. Rogues, 99% of the time I beat, but it's not by much. Now I'm not saying this is true for all warriors, myself and 1 other warrior are consistantly topping the charts while the others either lack the gear/talent or are pvp MS spec(which is terrible for deepz)

how the fuck are you going to be sword spec and dual wield at the same time?

you're not going to dual wield and still retain the arms tree, are you?(gulp)

3/47/1 is one of the best dual wield PVE specs in the game, its not the greatest for pvp, seeing as how you only retain 10 rage switching stances and dont have improved overpower, but if you're a good player, you can make it work. aside from a faggot mage, there is no class that can truely own me 1v1

shadowpriests cannot sustain the interuptions you'll put out
warlocks are usually morons
hunters still suck, unless they're beast spec(which is like 1 in 30) and then they can't be snared/feared/stunned and just kite your ass)
MS warriors are simple
rogues can be a pain with evasion, a fear/hamstring/intercept/kiting will usually solve this problem
mages frost nova you and then kill you
paladins don't do dps
shamans, good luck, earth shield is a nightmare, dual wield shamans can be rough too but usually can't heal themselves before you kill them

46/5 would suffice for pvp, since you won't be heroic striking as much, but for PVE, no point in putting 3 pts into tactical mastery if you never change stances

and with the changes in +wpn skill, having a certain type of wpn for fury doesnt really mean shit anymore...im an orc, so with my axe in the MH, i gain .05% x5 = .25% crit on my MH, big deal

you're a gnome if I recall, so no wpn would be a better choice for you, they'll all hit the same, at the same dmg spread, same everything blah blah(cept for the dagger and quickblade). Get something not of alliance have, I bet the fist weapon would look ridiculous, your mace and axe look pretty stupid. The sword is the best looking ill agree, but EVERYONE has it.

Similarly, our sword and mace look stupid but our Axe looks the best, which is why everyone has the axe, blah blah.

I'd go fist for uniqueness.

I'm not looking to be on par. I'm enhancement so just being in the group with the warriors and rogues is probably what I'd be doing. What I'm wondering is what the best 1h axes (actually able to get) out there that you'd recommend. I say axes because I'm an orc.

i tried lvling my twink hunter yesterday, but its been so long since i played that my quest log got reset and now i can't find any quests (don't remember where i got them from)

on top of that i forgot what the WoW site was for all the quest/item info was

and to top it all off with a cherry, i had a ping of 4k average.

I was able to play from Sweden for 2 weeks in November and I wasn't banned. However, I did call blizzard to let them know i'd be accessing it from a different location and they put a note on my account.

any warrior you read comments from or take advice from is not going to have as much experience as porcha. tf is ok in pvp for the proc, but the proc doesnt generate an extra 30dps. it is a good offhand though. use it on your OH and then use any of the 2.9 hwl weapons on your MH. use servo arm or gressil if you can get em, but if you aren't raiding, I doubt you can. no class is an exception to the rule that you want a hard hitting, slow, max high end MH. for pvp, I'd even consider 2h fury with something like untamed blade or ashkandi or the hwl 2h axe/sword. still gonna have monster crits off bloodthirst/heroic strike to destroy leather/cloth in 1 or 2 shots and even though you won't have as many swings to generate rage, you'll get more per swing

ive still stuck by my MS for pvp

got the gear to have a great dw fury pvp setup. just never fit me really.

PS if youre going to PVP fury, if at all possible, follow porcha's example and not every other 4k HP fury warrior who gets 1-2 shot by anything that moves :p

the proc might be good dmg yes, but your rage generation is going to be ass, that sword would get like 600 max 1h white crits, the proc generates no rage...i'd still rather use a different offhand, something with stats on it that will improve my MH dps

seems just like the arguments i'd have with my hemo rogue build, everyone basically has their own opinion which of course is 100% right. And the ones advocating the latter, actually never spec'd hemo or had the gear I did, or in this case, main handed TF. :p

I'm not doubting porcha's knowledge of the warrior class, it's just really hard to base decisions unless you've actually seen the thing proc 5 times in a row for 1500-2000 unmitigated damage.

If my other bindings ever dropped on my rogue I would not have banked Iblis, even though i had AQR. The way I saw it was to MH Thunderfury and only offhand it once I got Gressil. *Maybe* servo.


There were some theorycraft nerds that worked up an excel spreadsheet for combat swords and dagger rogues. Is there one floating around for warriors ?

Decisions, decisions.. I have my Paladin in a fantastic guild that I want to level up, my Undead Rogue with no social ties but who I enjoy for solo, instant-queues PvP and ganking when no guild groups are running, and then there's my friends on Alliance PvE who also want me to come start a character with them. I don't have enough free time to do everything :/

Knowing Blizzard, though, they'll make the decisions for me and I'll play on whichever battlegroup is online ><

ok so as a preface for this pic, the "premade" was a 6am thrown together group of like 3 good people and some other's that just made me cry IRL. I would have rather ran with a pug after 2 games and when the hunter came over to talk to me I was so embarassed that he thought that was "our set team" I had to set the record straight, actually not a bad dude, everyone was liek OMG HEZ HACKINZ. But in truth he was just a good hunter that would be the poster child for a Nerf Gun adv. Probably had some mongoose, DM buffs, maybe a flask but that's it. He basically carried that pug on his shoulders as they all healfucked him. Anyway, that's not in anyway who I go pvping with, I'm 2k short of my weapon and it was 6am. /rant
