UNC looked horrible last night. The best part about it was that Texas looked almost as bad....and still almost beat them by 20.

I expected UNC to struggle this year...but not this much. I thought their 5-star shooting guards would be playing a lot better and I think I was fooled by their young big men playing so well against their shitty competition to start the season.

I thought they would hover around the top 25 and make the tourney as a 6/7 seed. Right now they are looking like a top 40/50 team a 10/11 seed...if they can even make the tourney.

I originally thought Lo Brown would be the reason we destroy UNC...but now its looking like our frontcourt of Howell/Calvin/Warren is going to be why we dominate the Heels. Brown will crush Paige as well. Unfortunately for Scott Wood...he'll still get shutdown by their big guards, but at least we'll still win. Maybe they'll double down on Big Rich and Calvin and he can finally have his coming out party against UNC after four years.

That being said...watch Hairston/Macdonald/Bullock go nuts and beat us. That's the only way they're going to pull off any upsets this year is if those guys start hitting threes.

UVA lives off points inside the arc. I doubt they get those against us.

They don't shoot threes at all. That's our main weakness defensively.

Defensively they are horrid.

They are hopelessly short and have zero depth.

I like NC State vs the spread. This has all the makings of a 30+ point game that might only be a 15 point spread.

It's brutal to watch, but it works. The defense they play will make a lot of good offensive teams look like pure garbage.

Don't get me wrong, I'll take Gott's brand of basketball all day over Bennett's, but it's unreal how well he coaches defense. And it's not like UVA has big-time athletes. I'm pretty sure Bennett could pull five guys out of Carmichael and make them into a solid team.

Back to UNC: I haven't watched them much this year, but it looks like they have zero leadership and poor chemistry.

Say what you want about NC State, but you can't complain about our team's chemistry. Maybe it's a product of our offense, but at least our guys play together. UNC sure didn't tonight.

Well losing at least one game to a bad team is inevitable. We know its going to happen and it could be to them. We should sweep at least 8 of the teams in the conference but Duke might noy even do that. Where theres a flame someones bound to get burned.

We are much better than this UNC team and its not even funny. Brown is light years better than Paige and they have no low-post scorers...we basically have three (Warren is great in the paint). Bullock is a good shooter...but not on Wood's level.

They can beat us...but they'll have to be lights out from three point land.
