Yeah, while I would understand a beef with the organization, taking it out on Cam just makes you look bad. Even if every word of his critiques were true, you just don't do that. I can't recall Cam ever saying a bad word about KB and I doubt a private beef would have been kept secret all this time.

Let's not pretend Amini hasn't been terrible most of his career. We knew all the guards behind Trai and Moton were a crapshoot. The thing is we know we have Tyler Larsen who played great filling in for Ryan at center last year, and would definitely be the best option at right guard today. I think the coaching staff is trying to find someone else because they want to keep Larsen as a swing lineman, or insurance in case Ryan gets hurt again. Ultimately though, I think we end up putting our best five lineman on the field (Moton, Trai, Kalils, and Larsen) week 1.

Seriously though, it sucks to lose a body, even one as terrible as kalil. Hopefully moton can step in at LT and hurney can pull someone off the scrap heap to fill in until williams is able to return

See a lot of the same from Norv's past offenses, both good and bad. He's always been great with quarterbacks and Cam seems to be responding well to him. Also couldn't really pick a better coordinator for CMC, he's set for a career year. It's funny, if you look back at the reactions to his drafting, most of the negative comments were along the lines of "will Shula know how to use him?". Well, Norv definitely does.

Honestly don't want to read too much into a single half of preseason action, but the stalled redzone drives were also pretty typical of Norv offenses. Too much running and it's been really his achilles heel since the NFL became primarily a passing league. Cam's arm is looking great, like 2015, when he was a ridiculous 20-1 TD-INT in the redzone or something like that. Just let him fire it in there.
