They still make the 16gig version... How fucking useless is that?

Hi I have a 1080p phone that can hold a couple movies...if I don't have any music on my phone


and if you have I cloud like I do you have 20 gigs on top of your 16 gigs, so it isn't pointless. They also took all of us who had 15 and gave us 20 for free and dropped the price to 10.99. #BOOM!

When do Verizon stores get them on display, typically? I'm actually finally eligible to upgrade when they release a new one this time, but I'd like to see the 6 & 6+ in person to get a feel for just how big is big before I decide. I can upgrade on the 24th.

yeah just go to Target, Walmart, etc. Any store that sells plans/phones should have these models. Again, the iPhones will be slightly smaller, but they're close enough to give you an idea of how it'll fit in your hand. Personally, I think the 6 plus isn't as big as I thought, which is actually a GOOD thing. I was worried it was going to be super obnoxious, like holding a iPad mini up to your face, but it's not that bad...

I'll head to target tomorrow, have to run errands anyway. And that's good to hear about the 6+ size. I'm kinda leaning toward that one but was worried about feeling like I was holding a laptop to my head. I'm a girl, I carry a pocketbook, so fitting it in a pocket isn't a concern for me. Thanks!

My iPhone 6 case came today. Got the spigen neo hybrid metal. Gives me an idea of how much bigger the 6 is than the 5s. It is a larger jump than I thought it would be. Taller and wider.

I'd you're on ios 8, you needed to try out some third party keyboard. Many have different color themes too if that's your thing. I was a Swype user on Android and Swype is pretty good on ios too.

I guess I am gonna have to finally upgrade my iOS I avoided 7 because I heard lots of bad things but more and more of my apps are requiring it. I need to find out when I can upgrade because the power button has decided to stop working on my 5 and its pretty annoying at times.

6 just showed up at my office.

feels so much less blocky than the 5s/5 etc.

the rounded edges of the screen feel analogous to a drop of water balanced on the display.

6 still feels comfortable in my fairly average-sized male hands.

looks like the swung from one extreme to the other-- although the use case we were pursuing with apple was roaming between access points. iOS roaming was way too 'sticky'-- it would wait until the signal for an accesspoint it was associated to was so bad that it interrupted data before it would initiate a roam event.

For the average user, probably not that big of a deal. In a corporate environment when using VoIP over WiFi, it resulted in 5-10s of no-way audio on a call. That said, none of the beta versions of iOS 8 seemed to get it to acceptable roaming levels, so this might be a different thing entirely.

finally holding in hand compared to my 5s, im instantly OK with the size of the 6. some things that were natively reachable with my thumb before on the 5s are out of reach, but after about 10 minutes my mind doesnt even register this anymore. havent held the 6 plus in my hand, but this feels like, while it's comfortable, it edges right up to the line of comfort in my hand.

further, the camera protrusion is more aesthetically unpleasing than it is a disruption of the use or resting of the device on a flat surface. a clean, flat surface would be ideal, but it's not distracting.

I must admit, I played around with my coworker's iPhone 6, and it's very sleek, seems well made, and feels good in the hand. I probably still won't get it though.

He has an iPhone 5s and wasn't valid for a contract upgrade, so he bought a 64GB version OFF CONTRACT so talk about $$$$.

Give it a month. Everyone I know who's gotten larger phones said that at the beginning then loved it later. You can do so much more on it. Browsing and games are much more enjoyable.

I can get $430 for my 5s and 4s on Gazelle.

But I want to wait a couple months for a good idea of what size is better.

The first thing that jumped out at me was how wide it is. The 5 (and 5s) was the same width as the 4s, just taller. The 6 is taller and wider than the 5s, so you definitely feel the width difference when you hold it in your hand. With that said, it is thinner than the 5s, which is pretty remarkable. I have a case on it, but it is a slim case that retains the sleekness of the phone. As far as performance, I notice a slight speed improvement over the 5s, but very very slight. I think it is a good size and I don't think I'd like a phone bigger than this. The 6+ would be too big, IMO.

backed up my 4s to icloud, downloaded the backup to my 6 last night. Took a few hours, but glad I didnt have to load itunes. Haven't logged in to itunes in over a year now.

The 6 is really big, and I have big hands. I was almost at coin flip level between the 6 and 6+, but then I went to a website that showed the actual size on my monitor (once I calbrated it with a credit card) and realized the 6 was much bigger than my 4s so making the bigger jump might be more than I want to carry around in my pocket. I was tempted though by the Full HD at retina resolution and reduced desire for an Ipad that would result in the purchase of the 6+. Maybe next time....

I saw the 6 & 6+ at Sam's Club today at lunch. I'm definitely going to get the 6+ now. Even though I'm a girl, and I don't have giant man hands, it still didn't feel too big to use (twss). I hardly ever actually talk on the phone so I'm excited about this one. Yay mini iPad mini!

Looks like Verizon has volte now, so you can seamlessly switch from Wi-Fi to lte while on a phone call.

This is probably the slickest new feature of the new phones (and Apple pay when it's more prevalent).

So it looks like people are able to start calls via wifi then handoff to the cell network, but if you start a call on the cell network, it won't handoff to wifi.
