Someone give me the lowdown on destromath then, how is the population? progression? Like I said I have a 60 shaman in full earthfury, 60 mage in full blue pvp set, and 60 rogue in noob gear im lookin to possibly transfer. My friend may be going with me as well with a 60 druid and 60 shaman with hand of rag maybe.

PVP queues for horde are instant. Thats all that should matter to you.

Most of the people that are in this group have been through portions of Naxx. At any given time currently there about 4-5 people online, so we aren't a terrible large group either. If you do transfer or start a char, then you should realize that there will be a bit of an effort to get everything organized and going. Emo faggotry will also not be tolerated .

Other then that, log on and send a /tell to Aditu. I'm usually on 8pm est + several hours a night during the week, and on and off during the weekend.

so we made some fun progress in Karazhan tonight

in 1 clearing we made it to Netherspite

alot of fun right now, Shade of Aran and the Curator are the most fun I've had on bosses since Nefarian

Chess event was basically free loot, we just took control and zerged down the king and got loot. Decent loot too.

I also mopped the floor with gear tonight, being the only dps warrior and having the rogue also get some nice gear really helps with winning

You better get used it for healing druids .. Head on over to worldofraids and take a look at their Karazhan loot compilation thread. It's not very user-friendly, but if you take the time to actually go through it you realize what they've done with druid loot and how much it sucks.

In all of Karazhan there are two healing leather pieces listed on that thread which has over 142 drops (probably very close to the final total number that will be found). There exist about the same number of feral and balance leather pieces.

Of course, there are about 6-7 cloth healing pieces.

This is a nasty side-effect of them trying to 'itemize' all the druid talent trees and playstyles - if you solely play as one playstyle (as most people do during raids) you are going to itemize *much* slower than any other class since at most other classes have to deal with two main playstyles.

They should just give 375 leather workers the ability to "upgrade" certain cloth armor into leather armor. That would fix the entire problem for both Resto and Balance druids.

But I guess the convenience of that is just crazy talk.

Good thing there are plenty of healing leather drops outside of Kharazan. Seriously, fuck cloth and druids who wear it.

This is just something I've been anal about since DAoC. =p I'm stubborn.

Kinda sucks that Moonglade is a terrible healing set. Now I'm left with recolored cenarion. Yay?

druids need a fucking nerf, so I really don't care if they get shit end game itemization. all the leather drops I see are geared towards druids (tons of strength or flat AP, no +hit, low/no agi). I'm 65 still wearing a lot of my raiding gear, struggling to muster even +9hit to keep my MH from missing.
keep me from stealthing for 60 seconds and be stealthed until you cast the debuff? fuck that. 6x my AC and crits that rival mine and I'm using the highest dps/hardest hitting 1h available outside of naxx at the level? an incapacitation and a stun, neither of which requiring combo points? yeah, fuck that. I'm gonna keep QQ'in til that shit gets normalized

Even if they nerf bear form druids should never lose against rogues and never really did anyways.

The incapacitation (maim) requires combo points. The stun (bash) requires rage. Feral charge impairs movement and costs rage.

Moonkin is still the worst spec in the game.

I don't see how you can argue a rogue should never beat a bear druid. 12k armor producing 50+% dmg mitigation, they can cut my AP by ~25%, 1000 white dmg hits/crits common with the lack of rogue specific gear, 1500+ mangle crits on 6s CD, fierce fucking dots that only make their other damage hurt more, and they can heal themselves while fighting and there's nothing anyone but a shaman can do about it? fuck that dude.

My main pre-BC was a rogue (3/8 tier 3, rest tier 2.5 equivalent) and I switched to my druid I hadn't played in about a year (was my first 60) for TBC.

When you're leveling up from 60-66ish you're going to see alot of 'off-spec' gear dropping like dps Pally, Moonkin, Feral, etc b/c they felt like pallies and druids who didn't have much (if any) leveling gear needed to catch up to where everyone else already was (I think they took it a bit too far for those levels though).

Once you hit 70, you'll find the same old itemization problems exist again for druids, ret pallies, and other 'off-spec' classes. Searching thottbot, wowhead, ampwow, allakhazam, etc, I'm having a *very* hard time finding feral dps pieces that are obviously geared for feral druids and not rogues. Infact for several slots these pieces just plain don't exist. To the person who mentioned that they are only seeing druid leather drop - just wait a few levels and you'll start to see all your rogue drops and quest rewards (these seem to start dropping more in netherstorm and shadowmoon quests).

Kinda pisses me off I didn't research the itemization factor more before deciding to switch back to playing a druid - the reason I stopped in the first place was itemization and I thought they were going to address that ... and they did ... but they fucked it up in a different way now.

Druids aren't overpowered in pvp unless you're 41 points into feral to pick up Mangle - and even then I don't really believe they are overpowered except against warriors/rogues/frost or arcane mages. Since this game is often balanced around rock/paper/scissors for 1v1 pvp (dispite what they say, that analogy fits pretty well), it doesn't make druids 'overpowered' to me. I was still beating equally geared feral druids (post 2.0) on my rogue, just not if they missed their bash.. it still comes down to that landing or not landing for a druid vs. rogue fight.

As a rogue you'll have more problems with druids now than you will once everyone starts to get some more gear. They added alot of druid feral leather pieces with high armor values to quest chains, but those equivalent pieces don't seem to exist from any raid/arena/pvpgrind reward systems. So as your damage goes up druid mitigation is going to remain where it was or possibly even drop off as they 'upgrade' to pieces with better stats, but less armor.

I hear people bitch about druids being able to both tank and dps in the same spec and how that isn't fair since no other class can do that .. well due to itemization druid tanks aren't going to be viable past Karazhan at all (the druid feral tier sets are *HORRIBLY* itemized - not fitting well to either tanking or pure feral dps stats). While druid tanks are better than equally geared warrior tanks 60-69 the game isn't balanced around the one-two months people are going to be leveling for - it's balanced around 70. At 70, once warriors get some gear from Karazhan, druid tanks become at best equals to Warriors. Once warriors get gear from Gruul's Lair it's all over (druid tanks aren't viable past the first boss in Gruul's Lair).
