I'd play a rogue for/with you guys if I didn't have to level it. I detest leveling. Anyone have a pvp horde rogue collecting dust? It can be in lvl 48 greens for all I care.

Yea Daniel, you should definitely come over. We've got Ryan, Noah, and Feng already showing the "We :sonyericssonball: ownership in WoW." Yea Lokken, whatever you want to toss into the mix.

In all honesty though, leveling any BE character to 20 takes at most 2 days, and then you could lvl to 40 in roughly two weeks of casual playing, or < one week of hard playing. Regardless, we can appreciate all the help.

Having a relatively tame gchat is unTWWlike.

went into karazhan last night for the first time. spent about 3hrs and 1shot 3 bosses. back in tonight, tried our hand at the stage event for the first time and pulled R+J and one shot it. Very fun fight tho .

this place has a nice atmosphere, not too hard....so far.

they gimped the weakest pet in the game...(hotfix removed all of the imp's scaling... it's supposed to be "fixed" at some mysterious future patch... but the test realm patch notes mention nothing about it, so it's going to be a long wait)...

roll a hunter... seriously... they even get to name their pets...

I don't think hunters are more overpowered then warlocks because and both classes are relatively weak PvE.

I assume you mean for combat right? My 65 lock is affliction spec'd so I just use my imp as a mana pot from dark pact, and an extra 85 staminia. I also use it for the fire shield buff if i can remember to cast it, locks only really have one buff if you're not demo spec'd, though it isn't the greatest in the world. The extra staminia is also a nice buff for groups, vs the other pets that don't do much damage and just kind of get in the way, assuming you have a decent tank. Instant cast death coil and howl of terror make crowd control easier, though you have to be careful not to aggro extras. If I die in PvE its usually because i'll agrro several guys, howl of terror to get them off, and each one agrros another guy. I'm sure there are better ways to play it depending on what you're doing, but this works for me, though I primarily do PvE.

Overview:

Level max: 70

Loot levels: grey, white, green, blue, purple, orange

grey, white - common

green - good
blue - rare
purple - epic
orange - legendary
**red - Artifact (only datamined)

PVP -

In faction controlled territory, the controlling faction is not flagged for PVP unless they attack.

In contested territory, faction vs faction pvp is free.

There are also instanced PVP zones called 'battlegrounds' that have certian objectives that must be accomplished.

In addition, there is now an Arena system implemented that allows 2v2 3v3 4v4 5v5 battles that have ranking in battle.net style.

Leveling -

The most efficient way to level is through questing, bar none. Being that you haven't played wow, take your time to do as many quests as possible as they explain lore and take you through lower level instances.

Instance -

Dungeons hosted on a separate server for your party.

Classes/professions - see website

Gold - Not as important in WoW as other games. The best gear in the game is bound to your character as soon as you pick it up and can't be worn by anyone else. It is needed for mounts though, ground and flying.

Go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com and check the official game overview. Very useful information there. Avoid forums for the first 5 months of play.

don't overlook racial abilities when rolling your character. some races have definite advantages. with that said, blood elves look super kewl so I would roll one of those
