No, I'm saying Vanish has a significantly longer cooldown, so unless the rogue is lucky enough to only get dotted every 5 minutes, he won't be able to vanish like that all the time.

Not a big deal? Basically 5 seconds of invicible versus a caster class. Its pretty much a guaranteed death for an affliction lock, destro lock or fire mage.

so a rogue vanishes on a lock, would casting the "detect invisibility" buff make a difference? I've used it before where I know there are guys in stealth, and it doesn't seem to really let me see anything that I couldn't otherwise. To me its kind of a waste, but I'm not sure if I am expecting more from it than I should, or just don't understand what it can detect

Latency on Destromath is very good. I haven't experienced lag yet. Being a medium - medium high pop server, lag really is not an issue.

Lots of alliance to kill though, so if you hate PVP you need not apply.

Detect Invis only works on Invisibility, ie: some of the mobs in Dire Maul and other places. It doesn't do anything for stealth.

^^^ok...i never use it because there never seemed to be anything it worked on so I figured my assumption as to what it did was wrong...thanks. Also, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about anything, just cureous about what affect the buff would have since i never use it.

Stealth is not the same thing as invisibility. Detect invisibility doesn't do a damn thing versus rogues unless they pop an invisibility potion.

well thats probably because youre trying to do PVE dps with it right? MS *usually* isnt a PVE friendly build unless you have tons of gear and a good weapon and even then its situational. Unusual situations like razuvious in naxx and shade of aran(where I was #1 dps when we killed him) sure but not in most cases.

Only reason im always MS is for PVP, in which case i wasnt feeling it until i got the Lunar Crescent

do the hinterlands elite quests, get your trinket/cape, then either do the feralas or tanaris quests until you're like 47 and can start maraudon or sunken temple. run those until you're high enough for brd. run that til you get all the phat lewts. run lbrs/ubrs to get your trinket from thrall and you should be close to 58. at 58, hit outlands and don't look back.
