Warlock's + druids

Hard classes to play, but also the most fun.

Everything else is plumb boring.

So what happens when you hit 60, doesn't the game become pretty boring? I just watch my roommates play a little from time to time, and when I walk in their room and one of them says, "god my eyes hurt and it's so boring doing this quest"...isn't that when you are done with the game? That's why I quit, I got tired of doing the same shit over and over...but I guess that's just me

Sup guys

Well the game actually just begins to start when u hit level 60. I am new to this thread, and i dont feel like reading through 29 pages, so ill ask: Anyone fought onyxia yet or beat any bosses in Molten Core. Myguild has about 30 keys to onyxia now, which sux cuz u can only get one per raid run at General Drakisath in UBRS.

If anyone is further towards onyxia then me, or involved in a guild which has gone further into molten core please let me know.

We will be fighting onyxia at full force, 40 hooked up level 60s with all set items within the week!
Please let me know if anyone else in raleigh has even attempted onyxia yet, Id like to know who the first person in town that beats her.

Zhisheng is pretty far into molten core.

My guild did one run, fought a boss, and decided to wait a couple weeks before we went back.

Fighting Onyxia seems like a waste of time until the next content patch. Any strategy that you develop now will have to completely change. That being said, we have ~30-35 keys.

We're pretty much a pvp oriented guild, battlegrounds ftw.

I have a question. Would it be better/doable to do all of the quests in your starting area and then move to the starting areas of the other cities and do those quests to maximize exp? Right now I have done all of the Teldrassil and Darkshore quests (that I can do at 21) and wanted to know before I moved to Ashenvale and Harbor quests.

^Ignore that. I ran to Coldridge Valley and no quests were there. My next question is how do you balance when you have available quests in like three areas? Because if I concentrate on one area then by the time I get to the next I may be too high to get the full benefit of the exp from that area's quest.

Another question for you level 40+ people, mainly hunters. When you got to where you could wear different armor did you scrap leatherworking completely and begin making chain armor, or did you level another character in order to keep leather high so you could make money from it?

Hell ya new content patch is up on main website. Mages get better WOOOOT. Also theres a new UI like cosmos that will be built in. I recommend everyone go the WOW's main site to check out update~~

ANyways, looking for tips in molten core besides all of conquests walk throughs. Mainly Im curious on the roll of rogues in there, should they be used as ranged units, attack with melee from behind, or simply not come in there. I dont see how rogues are useful in there but I'd like to hear more.

I have about 159 levels logged as a rogue and I never felt as useless as I did in molten core.

There are fights where you just stand back and shoot your bow/gun.

Rogues are necessary for constant dps during most fights, but expect to have to sit out other fights because you take too much damage. You can't use high threat attacks either or you're pretty much insta killed.

I'd take 4-5 rogues, but beyond that you're giving up valuable spots in your raid group.

thanks guys i figured rogues wouldnt very helpful in MC. We have about 5 level 60 rogues now who play alot so i will definitely cut off recruiting off rogues.

Does anyone know the diffuclty of the new raid instance black wing lair. Its in UBRS right b4 rend, but Im not sure the diff level. Does anyone know if its doable with 15 ,like ubrs, or is it closer to MC requiring 40.

Thanks again

The raid instance is after rend and I imagine it will be a 40 person deal. I know that they used a lot of people for internal testing at least.

BTW for those that bash leatherworking remember that by the time you hit 40 you should be picking your subclass. Which means that for those that can upgrade to mail at 40 you can pick dragonscale leatherworking which is a total mail subclass.

Hunters should be doing Mining/Engineering for guns and crafted ammo

Yeah, mining and engineering is a good way to go for hunters. Dragonscale mail is hard because of the drop rate of dragonscales. But alas I am a dragonscale leatherworker cause wearing dragonscale mail is just so cool.

I have been using a bow thus far and I have had no trouble taking down mobs. I have also been using a polearm + traps. To me guns + Night Elf just looks funny even though I trained it. I was just curious what to do post 40 about armor.

Btw, what do you mean by subjob? Sorry to sound like a n00b, but at level 23 I am.

I am about to ding as 60 hunter, and I can't imagine anything other than engineering to make bullets and mining to get the thorium. (I buy it too, which ranges from 4-10G/stack). Plus all my gadgets are cool. Waiting on arcanite dragonling to drop.

It's really just preferrence as to what weapons you use, based on what you can find/buy. Dwarves get bonuses to guns and the crafted bullets do more damage than the arrows and bought bullets.

Maybe they will add a fletchery skill or something later for bow people., but who's to say.

Funny stuff.... Invulnerable Mail plans dropped in UBRS last nite. The officers of the guild were trying to decide who we could trust with the plans. I actually dont have a tradeskill, even though ive been level 60 for about 2 months so they decided to make me the armorsmith since Im one of 4 guild officers.

So, LOL, im the only person on LLane that can make INVULNERABLE MAIL and guess wat....

I AM A MAGE LOL.

We were doing uldaman last night when in the most random of kills [nightblade] dropped.

Two handed sword, epic, pretty decent.

This got me thinking:

Why don't castor rare and elite castor stuff drop more frequently? We already can't roll on a lot of things that drop anyway?

Come on Blizzz.

You couldnt be more right about caster epics. Ive seen about 10 epics drop and the only one i could possibly equip was some gay warrior ring that has like 15 stamina and some gay USe. This is truly my only gripe with the game so far, 8/10 epics ive seen have been 1h or 2h weapons, other was a sheild and last was that gay ring.

sigh blizz

There are a good bit more for melee classes but some of the few caster ones are really nice.

Eye of Flame, Magister's Mage Staff or something like that, that flame hat from the naga in brd

as hard as some shit is to get though you'd expect it to be better. some guy in general chat was trying to be cool saying his friend won the roll from his guild taking down onyxia. was some leather hat which was nice, but not the insanity i have come to expect from items while playing eq. i mean it was like a green lens with some resistances and a nice proc. it was a 1% chance to stun on hit which is pretty awesome for pvp and pve alike, but id have hoped for more stats considering the sheer amount of ppl you gotta bring.

Yea they need to improve what drops for the endgame bosses.

On the other hand

They leave those as is and have even harder bosses that drop Hero items.

Who knows.

If you didn't get the context of what he said meaning "an interesting weekend in wow"

Then you are a fucking idiot.

If you just wrote that to insult him, then you are fucking pathetic.
