yeah, even with vent people fuck up on aran. as melee I find it really easy, but I could see it being difficult for people having to run through all that shit and hope they dont get stuck in a blizzard on a flame wreath. just last week we had aran to like 16%hp with probably 65% mana but a fucking shadow fiend blew us all to hell on a flame wreath

Of course every now and again certain pugs are awesome and decimate everything. I ended up in a pug with some guys that knew their shit and we blew through heroic mech without typing or using vent.

It's not possible to have a real netherdrake yet, and you won't see a real one for a couple of weeks.

The other day I bugged it out and had a netherdrake for about an hour, I could mount and dismount and the Dragonmaw Netherdrake would come back. Eventually it just stopped transforming my mount into the drake though.

htf, with the daily quests you should only be able to make 3k rep per day, unless you are farming the few quests that aren't daily and much more time consuming to complete.

I'm combat fists with both the arena weapons. Swords are better with the buff, but they aren't all they're cracked up to be. Drakefist and dragonmaw are the best rogue mh's through ssc regardless of spec (except daggers).


on another note, does anyone use nurfed ui? I can't seem to import a layout. I just decided to switch from discord because of issues with 2.1 that won't be fixed since it was abandoned before 2.0

to be fair, I'd take dagger or fist spec for sustained pve dps over sword .... the itemization just isnt there. maybe for daggers with the vasj dagger, but it's slim pickings for fists.

we'll down mag this week and probably hit ssc in the next week or 2 and we've yet to kill illhoof or netherspite. to be honest, I think everyone is going to start progressing REALLY quickly with the nerfs to everything and the buffs to everyone's gear. clearly things are going to cater to shitty players, so atleast if you're in a shitty gear you'll see more of the game

my guilds starting to piss me off. I left OR because i cant raid that much anymore (damn jobs and responsibilities and shit). So i joined a guild that alot of my rl friends are in. My main issue here is that the guilds raid leaders are asstarded, but they have a loyal following. Its not that they are bad players, most are pretty good, the warrior class leaders a bit of a ree-ree but he can tank. My issue is they dont grasp the usefulness of off-specs. They finally let a few shadow priest raid now (guys that massed 900-1100 +shadow damage as heal bots). I can not, for the life of me, get them to actually take me as a fury warrior though. Any of you guys that are further up in content (we are about 2 weeks form a dead mag) have some damage meters SSs i can show these guys before i have to tell them they are retards and leave the guild.

Saying they cater to shitty players is just repeating something retarded people with low intellect have said. The buffs to gear and normalization on mob bosses was apparently needed because 6 hours of farming, judging from the five hundred "TBC killed wow" threads on EJ prepatch, was not fun for anyone.

Of course, pro guilds are going to blow content wide open (as they already have) but who honestly can complain about that?

honestly, aside from tanks coming in flasked no one had any abnormal buffs to speak of. maybe an adepts elixir, master's elixir, or a greater agility elixir and some buff food. hell we haven't had more than 1 or 2 paladins for most of the content thus far and none of it seemed too hard. a few of us at the top of horde on our server pugged an ssc a month ago or so just to get a feel for things and despite not having the vent we got the first boss down to like 20% the first night. this was before they fixed the trash and it took like an hour just to get an attempt. I'm not trying to proclaim my (or my guild's) leetness, but this much "normalization" was not needed. things are much too easy atm. sure, nerf trash, but keep the bosses of atleast some difficulty.

also, aside from will's screenshot above, I haven't seen fury warriors come close in damage to affliction locks, shadow priests, enhancement shamen, rogues, and good mages. also, I think as of late mages really need to watch their nuke cycle to stay efficient. they aren't up on things like they used to be unless they're REALLY on top of the game. even then they're only starting to scratch the top tier of the damage meters with lots of ae pulls inflating their numbers. I'm only speaking from my guild's experiences though, and we are by no means at the top of progression/talent

Fury is garbage now compared to 33/28 or 31/30. I always found it relative. In karazhan for example look at the meters after Aran and Maiden. If you don't have a warrior on top two spots there is something wrong. Unlimited rage batteries are going to let you do insane amounts of dps. Not having to watch aggro on Aran is like heaven. Prince on the other hand, your ranged dps is always going to be on top. For the most part I think the mentality is, why bring a fury warrior if he can only match the dps of a rogue and can't drop aggro. You need to get into a situation where you can offtank as your spec as well as do presentable dps. Then you're seen as useful.

enhancement shamans aren't that great for single dps, the bonus they add to 4 other people though, outweighs a 5th dps person

and a rogue made #1 on our void reaver kill, fury warriors suck so far for 90% of these 25 man encounters..just tank and deal with it
