yeah I hate that most of the locations where you dine in you come out smelling like them

they also have cut back on the amount of meat on the sandwiches, at least the last few times I went

and this was at a couple of different locations - so unless they improve, I probably will just switch to Jersey Mike's or whichever other one is in town

i had subway today and yesterday, which just might be a record for the most consecutive number of days when i have had fast food.

they have a deal here: between 4 pm and 7 pm, any 2 6-inch subs for $4.53.

further to my earlier posts in this thread: subway is like the most upscale fast food place here. really nice and clean and spacious. no bad smells inside, and all visible aspects of food prep are very hygienic. and unlike burgers and pizzas from chain fast food places, subway food doesn't make me feel sick, give me heartburn, or make me feel heavy/drowsy.

you can't really say burgers, pizzas, and fried chicken are good food, or that the chain places that sell such food are good restaurants.

anyway, "upscale" was referring to the interior/ambiance/cleanliness/hygiene, not to the actual food served. and even if you look at the food, subway/quizno sandwiches (on average) are far healthier than any chain burger, pizza, or fried chicken.

Yeah, but it's smaller and has less stuff on it. Subway has more variety, I think you get more bang for your buck if you want to eat a large sandwich. Also, more bread options

(Don't get me wrong, I love JJ, I have a lot of friends that work at the one in RTP, but I prefer Subway)

I don't like subway either. The bread to meat ratio is 5:1. You're eating mostly bread and get like 5 pieces of thin deli meat. That's why it's cheap.

A good sandwich for me is when meat is about the same height as the top or bottom bread.

If you are trying to eat healthy, you shouldnt be eating deli meat anyway. Get the chicken breast sub, that has a higher ratio of meat to bread.
