based on what? head to head matchup? LOL. And dont say draft spot or Leinart would be better than Brady. And dont say "he's about to start" because thats based on happening to be on a team with a QB playing god awful. If Glennon was on the Chiefs he wouldnt be starting either.

V - Glennon is too narrow of frame to fit Glennon on his back, he tried. Just says Glen

you'll all eat your words when the box score reads "Glennon 20/35, 230 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 3 rush attempts, 7 yards, 1 TD"

Glennon is much better than Clausen. I don't know if he'll do well in Tampa Bay, but he'll do better than Clausen.

^ I agree but the situation has some real parallels

A player thrown into a bad situation with a coach on the hot seat and a high likelyhood that the team will just come in and draft someone better to take the job next season anyway.

Glennon is the type of player who needs a few years and a good system fit to work out well. See Alex Smith. (Not as the same play style but same needs)

Orlovsky is apparently on the bucs roster. Which made me realize that Glennon is basically Orlovsky with more upside. Tall, big arm, checks it down at the hint of pressure, slow, awkward, and who couldn't see him drifting casually out of the back of the end zone?

Point still applies. Jamarcus Russell was drafted.

What point still applies? You threw a question out there. Glennon > Bray? As of now yes. Bottom line is, Bucs drafted Glennon instead of Bray, and trusted him with the starting QB job.

Bray is better than Jamarcus. Are you so sure about that?

No. That's an indication of Glennon having an opportunity to start. As I said, put Glennon on the Chiefs and he isn't starting just like Bray. At this point there is no way of knowing which is better in the NFL. Rodgers didn't start his first year. Akili Smith did. Therefore according to you Smith>Rodgers.

^^

Why didn't the Bucs draft Tyler if he is indeed better?

Too early to say, but if it were a race, then Glennon is way ahead

^^ Your snarky comment would have some merit if I had said Bray was better, but I didn't. I said at this point no one knows.

^ come on man, this isn't your first year watching the NFL is it? Why did every team pass on Brady over and over. Why did the Chargers pick Leaf? Tim Couch. Lienart. Etc. that means nothing.

No one knows? Objectively speaking the Bucs coaches know Glennon is better, hence they drafted him

No. They thought he was a better fit. There are numerous reasons teams draft players. Fit with the team, signability, relationships with the coaches, playing styles, etc. and do course ability is part of that, but that's not it.

So according to the parameters described by you above, what made the Bucs pick Glennon over Bray?

^^ no idea, my connection insde the Bucs war room didnt get back to me in time to feed me the inside info. Plenty of teams passed on Randy Moss because of various reasons, none of which was his ability. They obviously thought the negatives would outweigh the positives and he wasnt worth picking as early as he should have been and they were wrong.

Point is, there is no way to know who is better in the NFL yet. Even if I concede your point (which I dont) at the very most that would still be who the Bucs THINK will be a better fit for them

^ thats pretty much how I view Bray unfortunately

as I havent been at every Chiefs practice I have no idea in the NFL

but in college they were:

relied on his arm strength too much - by far the biggest
lazy when it came to prep work/didnt care enough

The bucs just didn't do their research. Had they heard about Bray's beer bottle accuracy they would have scooped him up and the giraffe would be grazing in canada.

Did Bray get traded to the Bucs or something? Or did Glennon receive impermissible benefits in college? Not sure what Bray has to do with Josh Freeman getting booted from the starting job in Tampa
