He was supposedly a bouncer/manager at the club where Mangum danced, and was one of the prosecution’s witnesses in the trial. In reading through some of the links and details of his involvement in the trial, some blog/internet writers referred to him as one of Durham’s “biggest pimps and drug dealers”. What is no longer in question is whether he accepted a "gift" (in the form of a rental vehicle) from someone. What is in question, is why that gift was made. And who at unc (other than Hairston himself) had knowledge of it. "

^I don't see anything about salary in that. They might pull it in, but I personally would be surprised. I know the UNC Ortho grads (another dental specialty that requires about the same amount of schooling) are looking at $350k starting out with their own practice, so while I would easily expect this guy could be pulling $500k by now, I would be a bit surprised if he was pulling in seven figures.

The shit they are looking up reminds me of some of the legal work I do...trying to tie in defendant's when I have a client that is suing a company/individual. Exception being that I'm doing it for money.

Makes me wonder how many of these guys are retired/unemployed. IF I was old and/or bored as fuck, I GUESS I can see myself wasting time with this shit. I would love to see UNC burn...I just don't think I would let it consume me like it seems a lot of these guys are doing.
