Thanks, you missed last month. I did a good 10-75 pull on Lynn. Had a guy come up to me today talking about how awesome it sounded.

Your car looked sweet speeding up Lynn. They had a state trooper show up at 10:30 ish to direct traffic. The new group running this event seem to have there stuff together.

lol I have a set of marks at the intersection of Glenwood and Duraleigh. Far right lane headed towards the mall. You have to pretty much smoke em to leave a good set of marks.

Followed me all the way out for some reason, and I hung around in the lot until 11:30ish talking.

I think its mostly a location issue, you are never gonna get a group of gear heads together and not have some hooning. The problem comes when you have a impromptu bikini shoot in front of a children clothing store. Or a horrible locations like Brier Creek and Cary. As you see in my picture, they shut the hooning down this month.

^ I assume your question is why don't I live down there. I work in RTP, so living in a city with tracks, football teams, baseball teams etc is out of the question until I'm ready to change jobs and move again. Depending on what I'm doing I probably go to some track 1-2 times a month.

My current rears have a little over 10k (Rated for 40k) on them and they are DONE. Just ordered some replacements this morning. Hooning is expensive. Doesn't help that I've done a few track visits on them.

Yea but they cut it in half for staggered setups so I don't bother with it. My fronts still look new. I actually picked up a set of pilot sports this morning from a friend with 65% tread for $200. Saved $400

How does that work for someone like me that does lots of burnouts etc. I'd think they would find someway to turn me down for it. My wear rate will slow down soon. About to pick up some more slicks.

hear you about the dangers..hopefully the overly rich tune gives me a nice cushion, still pegging around 10.2 on my wideband during a WOT pull ..could definitely use more time playing with the fuel map.
at this point my clutch is so gone that i dont even think ill get to slide at tomorrows drift event..not going to drive it to cars and coffee bc i dont want to be tempted to do something stupid

#2 makes me go home. Nothing annoys me more than watching them walk around and pick apart every car, while their POS is parked in the spectator lot.

Also wheres the car snobs on that list. I'm talking about the guys that ignore every "normal" car no matter how modded etc, and sprint across the lot as soon as a "exotic" pulls in.

Yea I should laugh at the ignorance but its just an annoying trait. They think buying a ultra expensive car makes you a car guy. Last time I was there I talked with a C7 owner, all he could tell me about his car was he had added JBL speakers. Couldn't even tell me which trim level it was.... I also talked to a Ferrari owner that could only brag about how awesome his 22" wheels were on a Ferrari.
