But when you come out at home and lose to GT & Wake then it just seems absurd. We have dug ourselves into a huge hole and while I still believe yesterday was a huge anomaly if DSJ truly believe we can do great things this year then we have to go out and beat Louisville on sunday and I am just hoping we don't get embarrassed against them tbh.

Maybe given that there is some talent in the team we could make a run at the ACC Tournament but I can't see us winning it playing 3 days in a row. ACCT is hard to win without that first round bye.

I don't trust DSJ against the press honestly. If he can handle the press we have a legit shot, but I expect a ton of turnovers.

Plus, we neeeeeever seem to win games after upsetting Duke or UNC.

^^ serious? If memory serves, Bam and DSJ were high school or AAU teammates and many thought Bam was a shoe-in for state after DSJ committed because they were a package deal. It was a surprise when he committed to UK.

As expected, he is a monster inside at UK and even with Gott, it'd be hard to screw up that pairing.

Ok, since it's clear that Gott is going to be fired, any thoughts on who may transfer?

Technically our Roster:
PG: DSJ, Johnson
SG: Allen
SF: Rowan, Dorn, Kirk
PF: Abu, Kapita
C: Freeman, Yurtseven, Hicks

DSJ - 100% gone.
Abu - 90% gone. Has to realize he isn't going to sniff the NBA now, he'll make money playing somewhere.
Yurtseven - he doesn't really have much choice unless he wants to go back international, no longer being mocked in 1st or 2nd round.

Henderson has applied for a 6th year but even if granted, I don't see him coming back. I've heard that Kapita isn't thrilled with Gott, but perhaps a coaching change would keep him around.

Still need to land another guard or 2 barring any further attrition. Allen has signed his LOI but obviously if we make a coaching change that is subject to change as we're not going to be the assholes who force him to come here.

would definitely expect to see a transfer or two like usual if Gott sticks around. and would similarly expect multiple transfers if we have a coaching change.

rumors are that Markell is homesick, so while the PG position is wide open for him to get 35 minutes/game next year, you never know. Kirk or Hicks could totally transfer. i agree with you about Henderson likely being done, but that's just a guess.
