My girlfriend just started playing. She seems really into it. (She's been at the crib playing all day while I'm at work.)

Is this good or bad...I can't decide.

I'm not gonna fight it.

mainly because her PC at home is a POS, so she's using my account.

I have complete and total control.

two months later he's gonna make an e/n post about how his girlfriend dumped him for the guild leader or main tank, after they arranged a meeting and fucked each other's brains out.

Its ok though, I learned my lesson, new girlfriend shall be kept away from WoW at all costs, of course she is keeping me away as well, which might be a good thing as I was getting way too good at china farming.

one nice thing about going to a raid with terrible gear.

definitly shift looted a kara run tonight

7 kara epics and the cloak off doomwalker

^not really, no one who wasn't completely terrible was going to trinket out of DC anyway with a fear right behind it. the situation doesn't really change for locks. and even if people do trinket out of DC, the lock successfully got you away from them already

^^ naw, that's fair (considering that it was a pretty glaring omission).. .some will qq, most will just use the time you're trinketing out of DC to start fearing you

^ what lock runs? i've never known a lock to actually use DC and Fear as escape mechanisms, not with there being so many way to catch up to them... i still like the "if you start a fight with a lock SOMEBODY is going to die" mentality...

yeah pretty much if you dont have a way to get a locks dots off of you someone is definitely going to die, most likely both of you. Cloak of Shadows is the only reason ill even fuck with a warlock now, previously it was pretty much a suicide mission if you werent built to stunlock

I don't understand why a 'lock would spec destruction. I've killed a 70 and a 69 with my 66 priest, but I'd get trounced by an equal level warlock of either other spec.

Destro warlocks can pump out high burst damage. They are a pure pvp dps support class.

wth are you talking about ? dc is used to A heal your self and B get space between you and a mele ... i never said anything about running anywhere

lol bring your 66 priest into a BG with a 70 destro lock, while you're doing something else and not paying attention to the lock he'll definitly smoke you. as ^ said, destruction locks are super high burst damage. jumping someone who's farming or at half health or who really doesn't want to fight says nothing about a spec.

Destro is a very difficult spec to play.

An affiction lock is going to load up the dots and start draining, and fear when necessary with pet on auto-attack.

A demo lock is going to pretty much do the same thing, except with a fel guard instead of a felhunter.

However, destruction has to use a very different strategy, since it's main focus is high-impact (fear-breaking) spells. Destro locks have to use seduce to get a player to stand still (no dots) while he winds up with soul-fire>immolate>conflag>shadowburn and time the succubus to land a second seduce before he gets melted. You cant just set a succubus to automatically re-seduce whenever its broken, you have to controll it directly. So its like controlling two characters at once.

Then there's Shadowfury, which is probably the most unwieldy spell in the whole game. It doesnt lend itself well to pvp, since you have to select the area where the spell lands, and hope that the other player is still in that area when you finish casting. Its great in a support role, but not in 1v1.

not to nit pick but there is probably 40 or so spells in this game that operate exactly the same way, not to mention every single engineering thrown item in the game

Well finally made myself do it today and farmed my 16 primal fires for my girdle of ruination on my mage, i think im all but done farming for craftable epics finally unless i decide i want the battlecast pants although i doubt it since the set bonus isnt all that great and they arent really much of an upgrade

Yeah i thought about that, but i am 61 into frost so i prefer the battlecast ones simply because of the high stam and int vs. the crit that i dont need all that much. Right now I am wearing http://www.thottbot.com/i28338 so its basically if i feel like a bit of spell dmg upgrade is worth farming 8 primal mights lol
