Nick, while I haven't raided with you guys from what I heard in guild chat last night you have some seriously high strung people on your hands. i left my guild a couple days ago cause we didnt have the people to move past kara and i was gettin frustrated at the lack of attendance. i was an officer, but i didnt think my absence would be that big of a deal. unfortunately, like 5 people followed me out and it disbanded the next day. it was the oldest alliance guild on the server

more or less...thats why we couldnt move out of kara. we had 100 people, but sometimes couldnt even get 10 for kara on a raid night. so me and our best lock went to a new guild, and our best priest and probably our best warrior followed us out, along with some others. serious loss of numbers, talent, and gear. guess they didnt feel it was worth tryin to salvage.

so... now i'm lvl 60 and been wondering what would be some good pieces of armor to shoot for? or a weapon.. anyone got any advice? right now, I'm still arms spec b/c its so much fun and prot spec will suck ass, but i'll respec eventually.

any suggestions for gear?

I'd just worry about lvling fast and maybe running ramparts and blood furnace a few times there are some decent warrior pieces in those two places.

How I Almost Threw Away 200g:

I was looking through the auction house over the weekend and I noticed that there was a large amount of gems - raw and cut - that were listed with a buyout well below 1 gold per which is below the vendor price as I remembered it and the vendor price auctioneer was giving me. So, I was thinking, "Hey, free money!" So I bought. I dropped over 200g on various cheap gems knowing that I was going to make at least 20% profit just buy dumping them on a vendor.

I was happy until I went to sell the damn things. I went to a vendor and was about to unload a lot of stuff until I noticed that the vendor was offering 5g for a stack of gems I was expecting to get 20g for. Blizzard has fucking changed the vendor price of all of the outlands gems.

So, I was now going to have to eat about 200g in loss, or I was going to have to spend god knows how long trying to move all those gems via the AH and trade channel. Luckily, after 2 nights of spamming the trade channel, I had a guy buy enough gems last night that I've since broke even, but I can't tell you that acidy, bile-in-your-throat feeling I got when I saw that the gems were vendoring for 25% of what I was expecting.

The moral of the story: Double check the prices of all items when you're trying to play the AH for profit.

If anyone on Horde side Gurubashi is looking for some cheap(~1-2 gold) cut gems, whisper Malinferi.

The whole fiasco with the CM Tseric and the Shaman forum posters started when someone on the forums said that he should get hit by a bus. He got offended and claimed that the shaman posters were threatening his life. People started trolling him and making jokes about how shamans should get a bus shock ability to kill tseric with. Then that's when the whole flame war started and Tseric ended up getting fired.

How well does WoW run on Vista?

I'm thinking about building a new machine and I want to enjoy retardedly good performance. However, I've seen some posts on the forums indicating caps in frame rates, and crashes/lockups.

Yeah... going back to the 2.1 patch notes, I saw it buried in the jewelcrafting section. Not being a jewelcrafter, I didn't give it teh attention I should have. Oh well. All's well that ends well.
