the only time that bubble isnt going to be dispelled is if there is not a priest on the other team imo

also, that trinket is a lifesaver for things like blind and fear as well (unless youre really pro and can predict a blind and blessing of sacrifice heh) and by a lifesaver i mean that quite literally. the amount of times a teammate dies from 1 fear or blind when a healer cant get out of it...well i dont even want to think about it

the thing that fucks me most as war/pal

is a full duration fear when bubble and trinket are down.

Wait, mass dispel works on pally bubbles? I never knew this. How do they explain this away, if a single target dispel doesn't work?

what?? you never knew this?

mass dispels primary use in pvp is for things like ice block and pally bubble which cant normally be dispelled. it costs too much mana to constantly use it in the literal sense ie just in the AOE form of the normal dispel.

youll see it sometimes, ie if a team at the beginning of a much is all bunched up etc. but in actual combat pvp 9 times out of 10 thats the time youll see a mass dispel. youre not a priest so ill forgive you (neither am i but i used to keep up with this stuff more heh) but this was announced well before BC even came out

I understand how it works now, but I just mean in terms of explaining how it's basically an AOE dispel but dispels all these things that are normally immune to dispel.

^Actually I have a 70 priest, lol

Oh there's no doubt that our rating and level of play is stupid low compared to some of you guys but as far as prioritizing what we need to improve on, me getting CC'd off the bat in 2v2/3v3 is pretty low with concerns to issues our team has.

I'd rather concentrate on getting used to jumping out of LOS, having our ranged more mobile, and increasing the burst dps (We run war/pally and war/pally/hunter) of our team. I'll have the trinket in a couple of weeks, but me being CC'd hasn't been as big of a factor as me not knowing to L2PVP.

I've been doing 2v2 with my holy priest, and MAN OH MAN does prayer of mending totally own groups. I just fought against the infamous warlock/spriest combo, and the mending was just bouncing back and forth between us as the dots hit. We never got below 80% health ever.

you being able to avoid and get out of unavoidable cc is just as key to learning to pvp as is better gear.

any way you shake it the trinket is better

trade that hunter for a mage or priest(holy) and you'll do much better in 3's

yah warla is pretty rediculous

spell attention should be paid to his Magram AND Gelkis rep

From all I have seen it doesnt matter what 2v2 combo you put together, you are gonna have some combo's you own and some that own you, obviously skill is involved as well, but sometimes certain combos dont require much skill to destroy you.

so your definition of escapability is being able to be killed with the quickness? anyways i'm probably bitching too much, but it gets really annoying when people whine about paladins and it all comes back to that stupid bubble that's up a maximum of 4% of the time.

well the problem with the bubble is, at least as a rogue (and probably a warrior or any other pure dps speeced melee class) when you're fighting a paladin you have to take them down fast and hope they don't bubble and heal themselves to full. Once they do that I've most likely already blown all my cooldowns (except maybe evasion) and it's just straight melee damage from that point on. That's what makes them broken in 1 on 1 pvp.

Dude unless you have some retarded insane DPS, hoping for a paladin to NOT bubble is like hoping for Black Jesus to endorse Obama. That shit is just NOT going to happen.

In Arenas paladins can use the bubble every round. And let's call it what it is: A free heal to completely full health. Paladins get a free heal to completely full health in every arena match (unless it is dispelled by a smart priest). No other healing class in the game has the ability to do this. Add to this that they already have as much armor as the best tanking class in the game.

The only way my holy priest is able to complete with a paladin is because through talents I basically have 100% interruption prevention with my heals. That still doesn't help much though when I get "mortally struck" for like 4000hp.

And druids can cyclone

And mages can chain cast polymorph/two shot

And geared warriors can rape your spine out

And Warlocks require a raid to take down

And elemental shaman burst DPS is like infinity

And Hunters can kite everyone non stop, be CC immune, or do retarded burst

And a good rogue lock down any healer (including a paladin)

etc etc.

I mean really, what is your point? Every class played by a great player is going to decimate someone with less skill.

I've seen holy paladins in BGs basically "tank" like 5 people for a good minute and a half. They just sit there and don't die.

Using anecdotal evidence: Azaka and I together held off the entire Alliance team at stables for an entire match with them constantly respawning on top of us. A week later, we lost a 2v1 arena to a frost mage because I made two stupid mistakes.

Clearly the class differential isn't as big as you think it is.

not quite. a feral druid and I have the most trouble with frost mages and a war pally team but we came up with a way to beat them. the bear goes in and let the warrior blow deathwish. bear isnt going to die and can kite the warrior away. I go in and unload on the paladin, paladin bubbles. great, now I head over to the warrior and 2v1 he goes down quick with no one healing. so before the paladin can heal him after healing himself, we cyclone the warrior so he can't get healed, until the paladin bubble wears off. I kill the paladin while the warrior is rotating between cyclone and root. then we kill the rageless warrior

i dont even have a mace right now and plenty of times i have forced a paladin to bubble before he even got ONE heal off.

paladins are definitely EXTREMELY useful as i stated before with blessings and bubbles (even if they get dispelled they usually give some sort of boost) - however they wont be tanking 5 things in an arena.

in 2v2 last season it was me and a priest - weird 2v2 combo i know but i didnt want to do real cliche pally team last season. anyways he was shadow most the time but when he was holy what we would have to do is stick me on the pally and literally have me lock him down to force a bubble before he got a single heal off and then mass dispel it:

1)Pummel the first one to lock him out
2)DPS until hes not locked out, and back out and intercept back in to interrupt his next heal
3)Fear when he starts his next heal
4)At this point most pallies have bubbled versus me, or if they dont, Pummel is back up as well as intercept after that lockout if they arent dead and still havent bubbled (rare).

obviously resists happen etc. but the fact that you would see a paladin tank 5 things in a BG is probably due to 1) crap gear from the dpsers on him 2) they werent interrupting his heals in which case yea a pally can spam heal himself for awhile. its not overpowered pallies in that case but stupid dpsers.

btw why not switch the pummel and the fear, if you lock up his holy tree while he's low on hp, he might die before the cooldown is up

^^ i put fear as the 3rd thing on the list MAINLY because sure, my list there was based on the beginning of a fight, but outside of that fear is not always up.

if i was guaranteed for fear to be up and not get resisted then sure. and of course pummel is always preferenced over fear/intercept/random mace stun when the paladin is low health for that exact reason

so.. now i'm 70 and nearly kara key'd... i still wear some greens because no one in my guild ever wants to help me out.. they're always doing heroics... what should I do to get some better armor for an arms warrior and tanking gear? i have no clue where to find good armor (online or in the game)

how about pvp stuff? is hall of legends the only place to find this stuff? i like the cloak there but thats about it.

wish i had someone from here to personally help me!!!!!!!!

wait youre wearing greens and blue and you dont like the epic PVP gear in the hall of legends The veterans plate gear for warriors (boots, belt, bracers, ring, neck) and the cloak you were talking about are nearly on par with T5 and EASSSY to get.

pretty much ... especially if you aren't going to be tanking

if you need tanking gear, it's about time you pug something. People barely ever want to help out new chars starting over unless you were already in the guild. That's how it works everywhere, if you want to progress and impress people get on the ball, get some good pug friends and start making shit happen for yourself

Yeah best way if you arent in a guild that helps is pug some stuff, people are always looking for good tanks. If ya do a good job chances are people will add you as a friend and when they need a tank they will message you. Eventually you end up with a group of good people who all wanna run stuff together.
