in regards to friends - i think there are going to be a few friendships for people that just seem to naturally exist. But for a lot of people and a lot of friendships, they definitely require a bit of investment/'work' to maintain something close.

I wouldn't keep something up with everything felt like work or you're each just trading favors or trading accepting invites to things you aren't interested in. I'd rather have few close friends than spend a lot of my time doing things I didn't enjoy just to have more 'friends'. However, there definitely is something to be said for trying to be a better listener in general and doing a few things now and then that you aren't interested in if you want people to be there for you outside of the times that are really convenient to them.

It is hard for me to say exactly what my favorite part was, but I really miss having that sun beat down on me non stop while hanging out with my (ex)wife on SoCo... shopping, eating pizza and getting drunk. Best days of my life.

I cried for the first time today after reading fiction. Over the past couple of months, I have been going through and reading all of the Sherlock Holmes work that I can get my hands on. After a while they get pretty repetitive and fall into one of 3 categories, but that was until I read "the adventures of the yellow face". The ending completely surprised me and was very deep. I shed a couple of tears.

We got a huge house near Breckenridge with 17 guys, a shit ton of alcohol, and a bunch of food. It was like $160/person for everything.
