It doesn't follow a certain person anymore. Just have everyone group up and as soon as the rain starts everyone just moves away and it'll stay where everyone used to be standing.

^ thanks. were like yelling at people "WHO HAS IT, NEEDS TO MOVE NOW" lol

Whats the best way to get down the skellies? Right now we got a paladin with half tanking gear on AoEing them and we /assisting him.

Ok so the mage changes are ok, but ice block should NOT be trainable. If you are gonna do that why not go ahead and make impact or blazing speed trainable as well. That shoud be a frost talent only as it was designed. They gave fire mages ways to escape as well, now because mages cant learn to control their dps and aggro they are getting one of the most useful aspects of being frost? Bullshit imo.

i have to agree. i mean why not just give everyone everything now. there are specs for a reason...i dont expect to be able to tank well as full DPS. So I dont go complain in the forums "ZOMG let me have last stand and deathwish, and sweeping strikes, and improved intercept all at once. ITS NOT FAIR! ". If i want a prot talent, i spec prot. If i dont, i dont deserve that talent. Plain and simple.

We usually had me (a rogue) as the MA and I'd just burn shit down as quickly as possible.

Exactly, their only saving grace may be what they do to replace that point in frost. Say some sort of improved ice block that maybe cant be mass dispelled, or gives the mage health/mana while ice blocked or something of that nature. Either way like you said you spec one way for a reason, why should a mage be able to AP/POM/Pyro and then ice block come on now... oh and I do have a mage so its not just coming from someone who is going to get pwned by one.

its another example of blizz catering to whiners. The whole point of the frost tree is increased survivability, while doing less damage than fire/arcane. It's a choice, you can't have everything, you either get more dps, or more survivability, not both. (if they do go through with this, that shit better not be affected by cold snap).

does ice block wipe aggro?

[Edited on November 8, 2007 at 9:20 AM. Reason : because the paladin divine shield doesn't and its basically the same thing]

^ not /really/ but if a mob goes to attack you while you have it up, it moves to the next target on the aggro list. hopefully that target is the tank and get take you over in the 18s you're in iceblock.

have a war demo shout and start cleaving/sweeping strikes/whirlwinding then have a lock seed the shit out of them. if you guys are undergeared assisting a rogue or something is probably best.

as for iceblock, it really won't matter. no arena mage is going to give up the utility of the pet and all the faggotry that goes with it (shooting stealth targets, getting people in combat, extra dps). you might see a couple 3min mage teams get a little bit more rating, but mass disspell will still own then as will every other melee class if they aren't frost.

^spellsteal

but as a mage, i also agree that trainable block is a bit much...i'm thinking blizz will move cold snap to the 21 point talent and replace the 11 point frost talent, thereby offsetting its utility to some degree

regardless, hypothermia looks more reasonable now (instead of being an unnecessary change in the first place)

also, i doubt you'll see any 3-minute or even deep fire mages with good ratings (2k+) even with trainable ice block thanks to resilience/longer fights

it wont change anything at all from an arena standpoint as any mage worth 2 shits was frost anyway. basically they gave mages an "oh shit" button for pve, although if you pull aggro in a raid setting you prolly messed up the aggro table and caused a wipe anyway. (and its not like iceblock wipes threat either) sure there will be some pom/pyro mages in arena but the only thing iceblock changes is that their death is delayed by 10 seconds. (or less if you have a priest)

in the end, the net result is an extra talent point for frost mages.

Hey, does someone have a guild on a pvp server where i can just come in and get loot from time to time. I dont have time to grind shit for pots and whatever, so it would be great if you've already beaten everything so i can just ride the raid to the purps. Also please dont be a guild full of serious business faggots.

the only way a rogue will succeed in arena season 3 is by specing for adrenaline rush/prep maces. i wanted to stay mutilate, but it's just not going to work at the 2200+ level

we haven't tried alar. Our Ret pally is like 7-8th on damage usually. I dunno for us its pretty random who is 3rd and on for damage for even the same fight different weeks. Its never a problem, i've never seen an enrage timer on any boss since TBC (25 or 10 aside from maybe alt runs in kara) regardless of trying different strategies. On Fathom we killed the totems and were still a few minutes ahead of enrage. So as for dps we're pretty flexible with who we take.

In SSC we have Hydross, Lurker, Tidewalker, and Karathress. No Leo no Alar. We were doing VR stopped because trash takes to long. We're going to go back into TK in the next few weeks.

we tried him for the first time like two days ago. I think they got him to 30~35% after a few attempts then the warlock tank had to go (he's a fireman and there was an oil spill in california or something) so gg. i dunno i wasn't there.

I play on Greymane. I really couldn't tell you how the raiding scene is compared to other servers, but for what it's worth there are two guilds on alliance side that are killing Illidan.

Also somehow during the course of the night in SSC I wound up with two max rank healthstones.

edit: apparently when you SS it removes the hand/pointer/thing but you can see the blue line around the healthstone showing that I was mousing over it at the time
