No what they were doing was using alts to hold teams and farming up multiple teams to the same rating and then queuing up against their alt teams and winning 10 or 20 in a row against their own teams. Some people had like 8 different teams going to feed each other. Banned over trying to get a silly title has gotta suck haha

i was sitting at 75k honor, and bought S1 chest, legs, shoulders, S1 main hand sword, offhand sword, and had like 7500 honor left over, also bought s3 helm. Looks like i'll be farming like crazy to fill in the extra upgrades.

Yeah it is very true that this will phase out pre-raid instance running. whats the point of slaving through heroics with noob asses, when you can just pwn noobs in bg's and score some awesome epics that way.

how is it sickening for someone to be getting gear and weapons that are 9 mos old?

anywho. i only bought 1 honor piece from last season since all my teams fell apart after season 1, so i just tooled around in the arenas whenever i happened to be signed on. so i had 75k honor waiting around plus my 5k arena points.

for now i just got 4 of the 5 new honor pieces and 1 season 3 piece since i already had S2 gear. just gonna pick up a S3 weapon in the next few weeks and then get the gear.

really, the only class that needs to farm 5 mans before entering heroics and all is tanks, since arena gear doesn't have the dodge, parry, etc stats that they require.

Hell, the druid feral gear isn't that bad for tanking, a piece here and there, since it has loads of stam and agility

the #1 best part of getting the season 1 epics, is to allow people to have a chance against upper level teams with already full s2 (and now 3/5 s3) in arenas. It's pretty pointless to try and get above 1700 without any resilience or a good amount of stam. s1 gear fixes this to some extent.

still need badges for cloaks... That and some of us just do the heroics for fun and profit (nethers are still worth $). Not to mention that for most classes, a full pvp set is still ass for raiding. (lack of mana regen on healers, lack of hit on dps, lack of avoidance on tanking)

i have no problem with people getting the new gear. the only reason i ever cared about getting gear was because everyone else got the gear and i needed to keep up.

id be 100% happy with everyone having the same gear in arenas and playing for nothing but the competition it provides.

that being said, i miss my season 1 teams. it gets super frustrating playing on mediocre teams even if it is just for fun. :/

i think i have to honestly admit the game is just on a downward slope. Now a days, its impossible to get 25 people to work together well to take down high end bosses (except for high high end guilds who've been together for a while). 40 man raids allowed there to be breathing room for noobs and offspecs, but now its reliant on being pure PvE spec, and actually knowing how to play. It seems like even with a fail-proof strategy and gear, one noob still fucks everyone over. Also, the whole PvP'ers vs. PvE'ers, needs to stop. I'm tired of hearing "fuck ur n00b welfare epics, afk in AV and get epic'd out overnight", and "you have a static mob with a strategy, stop being n00b and kill him". PvP and PvE are now 2 totally different games, and you have to pay money, respec, regear, just to participate in one of them.

I can only see things getting worse when WotLK comes out.

yep pretty much spot on. and i quit for awhile, but realized i still enjoyed playing some with friends, but only felt like dealing with one side of the time, and naturally i chose pvp since it was always more fun.

i am interested in leveling in WotLK for the zones and lore but beyond that i dont even know if id continue doing arenas anymore even
