well going to dire maul was pretty enjoyable........except not.

50 million horde campin the entrance. get around them, slaughter some from the back, pretty enjoyable. gay, but understandable.

zone in, fight 10 mobs...crash out. log in, not in this group join group or get ported. zone out, die before loading in from said bored horde.

rez and go back in, crash after 2 mobs. no instance servers available, rejoin go out and die again. HS back to ironforge.

I gave up on Dire Maul. Went to fine/collect Dire Maul quests for when its actually playable. 2 from feathermoon stronghold, 1 from moonglade (both factions can do this one). Silithus actually has quests now too ;o

best bet for a deent dire maul experience is to wait a week or 2 for all the over-anxious wowers to stop creaming themselves over it and enjoy it once the hype has died down

I tried Dire Maul and the lag was incredible. Got a nice bow with +7agi and +1% chance to hit (which translated into .3% to crit). Only did east side because alliance was camping the doors to the north.

Just a few minutes ago I was running a lower guildmate through Scarlet Monastary, Chapel section, and we had just finished killing all the mobs inside and were prepareing for the boss fight when the game lagged for about 5 seconds and every mob in the instance respawned simultaneously.

those are the best.

i was doing a quest in tanaris, had to fill a vial from a water hole or something, and it was a day when all the servers were on the fritz so there were no mobs or npcs or anything around. i walked up to the water hole and filled the vial. then everything spawned back and a giant spider elite nailed me.

i got the quest done. it was red for me. not that i'm saying the servers fucking up is a good thing. just funny.

the only good thing about server screwups is if you turn in a quest and get an awesome reward right before a server crash/rollback, and when you come back on you still have the reward but the quest is back in your log and you can turn it in for either another of the same reward (if ring, dual-wieldable wpn, etc) or get one of the other options as well.

I moved to Stormscale and the lag is great there, or there is not lag, whichever.

I had to rename one of my character though, Nostradamus was taken.

Anyway, I really like the chat bubble addition and the UI addition. The only downside is that there is no option for "Smart Self Cast" like there is in Cosmosui.

I'm thinking about making my own guild on SS, we will see. Did Anainn make the transfer or no?

^ its pretty fun. you can level extremely fast compared to a lot of other rpgs (save fora few like shadowbane). basically you can grind or you can do a bunch of quests which actually give you half decent loot and cash.

pvp is alright, but they definately need to get battlegrounds out cuz its pretty pointless currently and just a bunch of zerging lvl 50+ in noob zones.

Leveling is all how you want it to be. You can level quickly by doing all of the quests that you can and never grinding, but more likely you will take time to level tradeskills and that can slow you down. I also train like five different weapon skills, so I have to grind to keep those up. I am working on my parts for Dragonscale Leather working so I am creeping along at he moment.

Gronke and I will probably start a new guild on Stormscale.

I played here a bit last night after the login server finally let me in. Medium latency, but little to no server lag or wait.

Also, the alliance here absolutely blows at pvp. I attacked a group of 3 mid 40's (at 50) and they all chose to run rather then gangbang me.

Its going to be a fun server.

syr Josh, id try to explain the story to you, but i dont buy mmo's for the riveting story line. i just grab the quests, go "who i need kill holmes" and then go do it. which is nice, they have all the flavor text if u wanna get into it, but also have nice summarized goals if you dont. if ur not a noob you'll read the flavor text to figure out where the fuck you have to go to get said mobs instead of spamming the zone every 10 minutes though.

ps always funny to see how shitty some ppl without their gay rogue friends jumping us. some lvl 31 UD mage and 33 rogue atk'd pantsmessiah and i while we were leveling alts (22ish). they came back later seperately and we just raped the mage, we stunned/froze him and he just ran like a bitch while having a mob trailing him. then of course his rogue friend came back 3 minutes later to bs pant's mage, while i dot'd him and ran him into a lvl 43 (still died, but lets see him sneak away now).

You can raid enemy towns anytime or you can do /pvp and it'll make you attackable by anyone of the opposing faction.

You can also attack enemy players if their name is yellow or red.

We're pretty disorganized on stormscale actually, and its a West Coast server.

I think you'd be a lot better of on Mal'Ganis or the server that the NCSU Alliance fags..er..kids play on.

Today I got bored and switched to a full feral spec I've been soloing and duoing with a rogue mostly, not to many instance runs. I expect the few instance runs I'll go on will be with my NCSU friends, and that's a good group, so my loss of healing power shouldn't hurt too much. Priest, protection warrior, mage, healer shaman, and me.

Just 2.5 levels, and then I'll go back to restoration. I'll just have to learn how to live without innervate and nature's swiftness... but the bear form healing skill really is nice. I have very high survivability with 7.6k AC

Haven't used barkskin yet...
