Well, here I go again. I reinstalled last night and got right on to seeing which addons I wanted to update and reinstall. I am a complete customization addict. It's not a pretty list, but old habits die hard. REALLY hard in my case...

- Cosmos - I've used this almost since I started playing 2 years ago. I know it's not as useful as it once was, so I'm thinking about just installing individual components which I still like (Archaeologist, Atlas, Clock, Combat Caller, Damage Meter, Durability Status, MobInfo). What drives me crazy is that the 3 most important features of Cosmos - BarOptions, BuffOptions, and Mobile Frames - are no longer viable after BC.

- ItemRack - Great for quick loadout changes.

- Auctioneer - I used to make a good amount of money from the AH, and this was a big help.

- Gatherer - Apparently, Wowhead now has downloadable databases which detail the locations of all nodes. I remember back when this was completely taboo.

- Scrolling Combat Text - I know the Blizzard scroller is easier, but I have some special instructions for SCT to pop up reminders and play sounds upon certain events.

- Trinketmenu - Love this one since you can have it auto-queue and swap trinkets.

- Decursive - Not what it once was, but still useful.

- Vendorbags - Just a little one which opens all bags whenever you go to the bank or mailbox.

I am looking for an addon which will show all of the keymaps for each and every button on the toolbar, and will also hide empty buttons. Cosmos used to be able to do this, but I don't think it can anymore. Anyone know of something like this? I am NOT wanting something which will completely change the look of the default UI.

Bartender is perfect for what I need.
As a druid, I really like SmartyCat. It shows you your mana bar when you shift into forms.

i've always preferred bongos to bartender. Mainly because there was a time period where both the GUI and an easy bind menu were either nonexistent or completely obnoxious. Bongos always had that "hoverbind" ability and I just stuck with it. I suppose bartender is a lot more sophisticated these days though.

wow... been doing premade AVs all day today with my old guild on Skullcrusher. The guild played over 40 AVs today (I did 23) and we didn't lose a single one. The LEAST amount of honor we got in one match was 460. Not once did any of the opposing teams attack Drek.

They removed the option and used to consider doing it anyways an exploit. But that was before there was a mod to do it i guess. Unlike AB, WSG or EOTS, its extremely unlikely for you to run into other premades which i admit would be unfair (hence 23-0 winning streak). However theres no reason you shouldn't be able to queue with at least a party of 5 or 10. AV is so much more fun with friends. Its like PVE against another guild in a way.

I remember having to use My Mouse to stay in AV queues for 2+ days before cross server bg. Then when everyone finally had a game together, that shit would last all fucking day 10-12 hours.

^they're mostly gathering quests, from what I recall a lot of adamantite bars and a scholo run.

the lock mount quest:

1. do some solo world quests
2. buy a bunch of high end 60 crafting mats on the AH (used to be 5-660g in the day, should be much cheaper now as noone wants that stuff anymore)
3. scholo run to frostwinter's room
4. a)buy 250g worth of quest items from the guy, or,
b)find another warlock who has them already
5. clear dm west and summon the boss event.

OK, I'm back in action once again. I spent a great deal of time configuring my UI and arsenal of addons on my laptop. It occurred to me that using PC Anywhere, I might be able to "push" the configured WoW files from my laptop onto my desktop (where the game was already installed but not configured) and not have to go through the hassle of reconfiguring. It took a while to do because I pushed every single file onto the desktop and overwrote the existing ones (which I don't think was necessary in hindsight), but it worked flawlessly. I didn't have to change a single thing.

Is there a program or addon which could be used to test potential gear configurations and see the total stats? Like, for instance, I want to be able to see the difference between my current gear loadout and the potential loadout of adding in 2-3 new pieces and swapping gems in several pieces. I know I can use Atlasloot to see some pieces I'd like to have, but it's a hassle to have to make notes of what changes each time I check out a piece of equipment.

^^in the future or perhaps even now (as a backup) push only the WTF/Interface/Fonts directories. Once I revamp my UI to something spiffy I usually zip these three folders and throw it on my webspace so I always have it. IE. playing at a friends house or in a cafe somewhere.

on an unrelated note, wtf did they do to pathaleon? If you jump off the elevator you get ported beneath the world. stuck dead and unable to release and he's fucked until a soft reset. I also protest the stealing of a badge from the gatekeepers as well.

with the way they ninja buffed repairs, 2 deaths and I'm at a 10g repair bill. I guess my class/spec just got the shaft because besides the ninja boots and cloak there was nothing (new) worth getting with badges.

smoothcrim sometimes i think you should just apply for GM because you obviously know all there is to know about every class, dungeon, raid instance, spec, nerf, buff, and exploit existing in azeroth.


To answer your question though...It's a hunter i botted on a pos realm that i haven't had the time nor the motivation to get kara attuned. Much less actually run that instance, considering the only talent left are the detritus of every raid guild i've already been a part of in the past two years. I wanted a primal nether for the engineering hat with as little effort as possible earlier in the day. Not to mention I haven't even played seriously or raided since sometime in May with these former destromathian cats, so how should I know karazhan now gives badges?

Auto unstuck doesn't work because technically you are falling indefinitely through the world. Luckily I had another account in town so the other guy and I just dropped group and I queued us for wsg afk'd out and got resummoned. The instance still had to be soft reset however.

Moral of the story is not to evade bug him on the elevator anymore.

Anyone else currently have the alliance boycotting AV because they can't win now that they can't use the map to their advantage indefinitely? Currently looking at 55min queue times for a 600 honor win. It's fun because once you get get in, everyone's on the same page and we make sure to cap everything, even the mines. However, waiting an hour is not.

Not sure which battlegroup you are in, but we are having that issue in ours as well. It sucks, especially when the BG of the day is AV, but it definitely ensures that people really want to lay it to the Allies when they get in there so they actually cap everything.

AV is so unbalanced its not even funny. I can't ride across the bridge without getting hit for 3000 damage. I've never seen anyone in Frostwolf take any damage. The other day my friends and i decided to rush straight to Aid Station skipping everything else, and riding under the bridge. Before we could get there alliance had capped everything past SF.
