For example, I did Uldaman with all late 30s, no wipes, and I was in bezerker stance the whole time. We didn't even have a main tank.

assuming the current rate of increase and that those sunwell weapons are right, and the last for tbc, then you are looking at a 60% increase in weapon dps over naxx items. That would put end game wotlk 1 handers around 180-185 dps, and 2 handers about 240ish.

And you top tier pvpers would be around 20k hp, with your tanks looking at 30k (more for druids)

Is anyone here in the Ruin battlegroup? Is it supposed to be one of the top PvP battlegroups or just an average one?

My two roommies and I are all about 300 res. now on our 3v3 team and we're just now scratching the 1600's. I would think that this is bad, but everyone we run up against is rocking S2/S3 so we're thinking our gear is on par with theirs. We've been going 6-4 over the past several weeks, but generally all hated each other those first few weeks.

MS Warr, Demo Lock and Disc. Priest (me).

We've been thinking about my roommate going destro (he has the gear/crit to do so) and me picking up power infusion for insta-nuke kills - but as I said we've been ending our weeks two games up so haven't made the switch yet.

Not really interested in getting different characters in there b/c we all live together and it's just something fun to do now that we all work (real life ftl). Plus the honor grind for any of our alts just doesnt seem that fun anymore (we each have 70 alts of mage, shaman and lock respectively).

From general experience if you want to make any real gains in rating you have to play a lot more than 10 games a week, for a few reasons. First, if you play only 10 games you dont get a whole lot of experience with your teammates and your setup. Second, you dont get a lot of experience against the different possible makeups you could face. Third, bad matchups, d/c's, someone fucking up, etc. in a 10 game a week setup is really magnified as far as rating goes. Most of the time you are probably gonna end up at 6-4 or maybe 7-3 in a 10 game setup and that means you will only be gaining like 30 points a week. One bad week of 4-6 or something and you are back down to where you started. I myself do the 10 games a week and hold around 1600, but I mainly attribute that to not playing a ton each week. Most of the teams I see with high ratings are playing like 30-40 games a week and such.

record doesnt mean much. dont get too worked up over record, youre playing teams at your level. just have fun. its a mistake a made too often that burned me out on arenas.

my season 1 team's 3v3 *record* wasnt that good at all. but we stayed on the 1st page pretty much the entire season. Being as high as the top rated team and finishing 16th.

We'd play a lot of games a week going maybe 35-28 or 40-30 or sometimes slightly below .500 etc. The record looks weak, but most of our games were against other top 25-50 teams (out of 10,000 or whatever). really great competition, solid makeups and good players giving and taking pts.

at some point your team is going to hit a plateau, whether its 1600 2000 or 2300. and you cant beat yourself up over not progressing much or going .500 for the week. maybe its just your level.

no idea on how PvP oriented it is, since I don't really do PvP at all. Probably ask Nashattack or whoever is on Skullcrusher horde side, since horde absolutely rapes alliance pvp.

Skullcrusher in itself has a few 5v5s in the top 10 and I think Vengeful (guild) has the top 3v3.

Its very competitive on SC. I'd say Ruin is one of the better ones. Horde does absolutely rape alliance at pretty much all BGs now that we have preform AV. The only drawback to preform AV is that trade channel is always spammed with "LFG AV PREMMY!!!"

My hunter is level 68 and has 45k honor b/c of preform AV.
